The sad thing about this one is that its a mandatory title fight and Lucas didn't get the opportunity to fight for the IBF on Saturday. That would be a real ****ed up move if it happens.

Suiliman threatened to strip Floyd if he fought Alexander and skipped over his mandatory Guerrero. I wonder if he will do the same this time.

But its just a rumor and I would just let it play out.

I think the fight will happen because Matthysse is now a big deal and so is Garcia. It's in Haymon's and Golden Boy's best interest to continue to build Matthysse because at the moment he is even more likable than Garcia in a whole and has the potential to be bigger. Fights going to happen. Say what you want about Garcia but that kid is not a slouch regardless of how his father makes you feel. He is bringing something to the table and a fight between Garcia and Matthysse will be a good scrap. Garcia would have to start fast early because Matthysse is deadly. Garcia has to make Matthysse miss and pay with counters.

Garcia can't outbox Matthysse and his chin is not sturdy enough. He was hurt by old man Morales and Judah. And he also cuts up, one way or another he's getting stopped.

I think LM wins because Garcia lacks a natural right hand. Garcia can box though which is what makes this fight interesting. I kinda knew Matthysse would beat Peterson, but I didn't expect the early win. Peterson may have been intimidated by Matthysse's power. I want to see who isn't. 2 fighters proved that already. But...I love how Matthysse has persevered from his disappointments, and that he has become a champion. You have to respect that.

is funny how now, after lucas beat lamont, peterson wasn't actually really good. but before the fight lamont was supposed to beat him. is almost like when canelo beat trout, before the fight he was going to be schooled by austin but after the fight everybody changed their mind

Matthysse plays Grim Reaper in this one and knocks Danny's ass senseless. After what he did to Peterson in 3 rounds, there should be no doubt that this guy is a monster.

In 2 rounds he already had Peterson fighting to survive. He already took him out of his gameplan. Matthysse is a beast.
