Not at all! His first championship was against Vic which was a good win but then he defended it against a bunch of blown up straw weight fighters, then he beats Montiel which was a good win but he didn't fight anybody in the 118 tournament (the top guys in the division). After that he jumps up to 122 and fights WV2 for the vacant title (see a trend here?) and defends it against Mathebula who nobody knew and never fought outside of South Africa, his next defence was against a 36 year old Nishi that was coming off a year lay-off.
Does that sound like top 5 pound for pound to you? Rigo's just a great fighter that exposed all the hype that's all.Comment

Yeah it does sound like a top 5 because he was dominating solid opponents plus there weren't any guys that were more deserving than Donaire at that time. You had Floyd, JMM, Sergio, Ward as the top four only guy u could argue top 5 other than Donaire was Wlad, after that it surely wasn't Bradley or the likes.Not at all!
