Yep solid. So who was more deserving? Even if not top 5 no doubt about it he was top ten.

10, maybe 9 if your basing it off of popularity but Wlad should definitely be #5.

I don't tink Donaire is a top five p4p fighter and fighting five stiffs last year doesn't make you fighter of the year. First of all he struggled with Vazquez jr whom had no amateur background and was stopped by arce. Arce looks bad against some guy and then Donaire fights him. I really think fighting smaller guys like navarez and ?????? Over-hyped donaire. But even in the navarez he was exposed by movement and a defensive fighter.

I'll admit he had a good win against Vic but besides that he hasn't dId anything in my humble opinion. First of all they were rating this guy above Marquez. no freaking way. Right now he isn't a top ten P4P fighter I'm serious. Even if you exclude the heavyweights. I have
        Mayweather
        ward
        Marquez
        Garcia
        Rigo
        Bradley
        Martinez
        Hopkins
        PAC
        Broner
        Gamboa
        Froch
        Mares
And others but they need more seasoning.

You have Garcia #4. If you're telling me Donaire wasn't worthy of top 5 before he lost to Rigo but Garcia is then you're arguement is completely invalid.

After that he jumps up to 122 and fights WV2 for the vacant title (see a trend here?) and defends it against Mathebula who nobody knew and never fought outside of South Africa, his next defence was against a 36 year old Nishi that was coming off a year lay-off.

Does that sound like top 5 pound for pound to you? Rigo's just a great fighter that exposed all the hype that's all.
defended against strawweights? one of his first defenses was against mthalane the #1 contender to his IBF flyweight title..mthalane would later go on to win the IBF flyweight world title (he's still IBF world champ)...and then there was hernan marquez who later became the wba super champ and #1 at flyweight after losing to donaire...

and montiel was p4p top ten and the unified wbo and wbc champ at bantamweight after KO'ing the #1 ranked guy at bantamweight (hozumi hasegawa). so donaire beat the #1 ranked guy at bantamweight (not only beat but stopped him in 2 rounds)..and donaire wanted moreno next but moreno priced himself out...and donaire fought the top guys at 122 minus mares who decided to move up to 126.

That was a masterful performance by Rigo. Unbelievable how he outclassed a great fighter like Donaire.

Yeah no one was expecting Donaire to get outclassed and almost ran out of the ring like that, truly amazing performance by El Chacal. Without a doubt the best technicians/master boxers out there are Ward, Floyd, Rigo and JMM (regardless he lost to Floyd, he is still a wizard in the ring).

I can give you that one but I think we both can agree Donaire is much closer to his prime (**** he IS in his prime) than Morales was at the time Zahir put it on him.
