Yeah it does sound like a top 5 because he was dominating solid opponents plus there weren't any guys that were more deserving than Donaire at that time. You had Floyd, JMM, Sergio, Ward as the top four only guy u could argue top 5 other than Donaire was Wlad, after that it surely wasn't Bradley or the likes.
Vic and Montiel were solid opponents, who are these other solid opponents you speak of?Comment

Nishioka was #1 in the division. Doesn't matter if he had a layoff or whatever that's a solid win.
Mathebula was a title holder, a unification bout, solid win.
Vazquez is a solid fighter and people overlook the Volodymyr Sydorenko fight as Sydorenko gave Anselmo Moreno everything he can handle.
But like I also said there really wasn't anyone other than Wlad you could argue deserved that 5th spot. Besides it wasn't just The Ring everyone had Donaire right around 5.Comment

You talking about the same Nishi that went to war with 97 year old shot to shyt Rafael Marquez a year before he fought Donaire?
Mathebula whos best win was over who?
"Vasquez is a solid fighter"

a top 5p4p fighter is someone that upset darchinyan in 2007 and went on a run of consistent world title fights beating champs and ex champs every fight, 2x ko of the year, 1x upset of the year...in 12 months he beat mathebula the IBF champ, Nishioka was the real WBC champ, he beat wvj for the wbo title, and fought Arce...he dominated them and they all hit the canvas..that is why he was top 3 or 5 p4p...the rigo performance was great but it was more down to nonito under performing, head hunting, being unprepared and having no plan B ...he is still top 7 p4p and ppl will soon be talking him up when he returns and beats a top champ, he'd ko mares imoComment

I agree completely, starting from round 1 he looked intimidated and then in the 12th he ran for his life. Rigo dominates everyone at 122 and possibly 126.I saw the last 4 rounds the first time I saw it, it looked like Donaire blew it big.. lol.
I actually just got around to viewing all 12 rounds and what a shame. Donaire honestly looked afraid from round 1, he's so used to the prey coming to him he forgot how to hunt.
After round 7, arguably you could give that round to Donaire, Donaire's corner the assistant trainer gave probably the best advice ever and Garcia just picked up where he left.. Garica didn't know ****! "Trainer of the year." It was hilarious.
If you didn't like Rigo during the fight you probably gave Donaire some/all of rounds 7-9. I thought Rigo won every single round besides r10(knockdown).Comment
