For the record I agree with brjngjng Alvarez down to 147lbs at all but your analogy makes no sense.
This argument arose from someone bringing up Pac asking Mosley to fight at 142, a LW fighting a WW at 142. Pac was not a WW then.

Is Floyd a JWM now since he fought there twice? If no, is he also ducking like how Pac "ducked" Mosley?

So if the fight doesn't happen, Floyd is cleared of criticism?

Yes if he waits for Canelo to lose and then fights him 2 years later when he looks shot like Pac did with Mosley.

So Floyd did ducked Cotto at WW, since that's what he did...
And as long as Floyd never fights them and always kills the negotiation, it's OK... gotcha.

As long as you can admit Pac ducked Williams and Mosley than definitely we can all agree using this logic that Floyd also ducked Cotto and Canelo.

Pac has never done anything wrong or made unreasonable requests. Pac fights regularly, so anyone would forgive Pac for asking for 2lb CW. People mustnt forget up to then Pac had never asked any opponent for a CW.

FLoyd on the other hand already has a history of bloating fighters up 2 divisions and has been heavily criticised, so why beg for a verbal pounding again?

He asked for a catchweight for Mosley before Cotto actually.

Again, Pac fights regularly and isnt a machine, so the Cotto fight was the first CW fight ever for Pac.

FLoyd dont hardly ever fight, dont do much, so him asking for Canelo to come down, after Canelo has just beaten Trout, so Floyd didnt have to is unforgivable. Floyd beat Cotto at 154, so its a fight for who is the no1 154 title.
Otherwise if you dont want to fight canelo stay at 147 and be called a ducker for the remainder of your career.

I agree, but when did Pac duck Williams (Paul?)? iirc, Paul Williams called out Floyd and called him a vagina.

When Manny held his junior middleweight belt Williams said he'd fight him there because he beat Margarito too.....and then Manny vacated because the Junior Middleweight division was too hard (in his camps words)

For the record I don't blame Manny for that, Williams was too big I thought. Fighters should have limits and Manny is a small junior middleweight.
