Schaefer is working behind the scenes trying to finalize an agreement for a Mayweather-Canelo showdown on September 14th.

Schafer is echoing what I said earlier today.

In the case of Sr, you're not going to get well thought out speeches from him more than what he's currently thinking. When he made accusations about Pacquiao, that's exactly how he felt / thought. In this case of mentioning Floyd being really a 140lber and that Canelo isn't "No Middleweight", that's probably what he really thinks, otherwise why even mention that? Sr ain't Ellerbe who is a little more articulate, but he always seems to just spew what's on his mind. I don't think it's so much of a case people picking and choosing Sr's words because the majority of the stuff he says is whether it's about his son or any other fighter for that matter. I think the issue overall is fans wanting to see Canelo vs Mayweather at 154 and Sr pretty much lining it out that he doesn't want it there. It's tough for people NOT to comment about that.

I think he should do 154 but something has to be done about rehydration...172 for a light middleweight on fight night is ***in ridiculous, I know people want to see Mayweather lose so badly but lets be REALISTIC here, neither Oscar or Cotto rehydrate that damn much for fight night

I think this fight can get done, let Schaefer do the negotiations and everybody else need to shut the *** up about it and see what happens

Maybe he likes hearing himself talk. He seems like he would. Maybe just to get the masses talking, which is working, or maybe its the truth.

Im just gonna hang and see what comes of this
