No, asking a fighter who does not fight at 147 to drop an entire division is worse than asking a fighter to drop part of a division. Simple math. Either neither guy was right asking a fighter to drop weight or both were right but Floyd and his fans set the stage for this hypocrisy by saying he would never drain a fighter or have them fight at a weight they are not comfortable at and that is EXACTLY what he is doing!

Btw Victor Ortiz weighed in at 165 on Fight Night in his bout vs Mayweather @ 147.

Can't this fight @ 154 just be made with a rehydration limit of 165 lbs? Or is Mayweather that much more scared of Canelo than he was of Ortiz?

Getting down to 147 would absolutely drain Canelo for fight night, even if he managed to rehydrate back up to 165 or more.
