if mayweather is a champion at 54 and has fought couple times there? and the fans want to see it, and his teams claims to be "easy" money.. and he'll move up for others, and there's buzz about the fight.. WHY NOT JUST MOVE UP? sounds like he's pulling a marquez all over!

if canelo was a legit 154 it be different but lets quit pretending he is the guy comes in on fight night at 170-175 floyd comes in 151 tops even when hes fighting at 154 thats a 25 pound difference thats ridiculous no matter if you want floyd to lose or not. just because its floyd dont mean you cant be realistic

I said my piece on this when it first came out, I don't feel the need to keep going on about it but it's natural that he will be criticised. Like you said, he should vacate the title.

It is a shame and I think it was a winnable fight for Mayweather but not one without risk, too much risk it seems.

Here is the thing Gayweather fights oscar De La Huye at 154 for Oscar's title, Oscar stands 5'10" but since he was almost washed up Lil flower Floyd fought him at that weight!

Lil Flower goes and fights Cotto at 154 and also there is no problem there!

Now Canelo is calling him out and he tells him he needs to be at 147?

Come on u all! This has to stop! First of all doesnt lil flower holds a 154 belt?
Didn't he took it from a 154 lb champion?
Why should canelo go down to 147 when he is the champion at 154?

All these haters are saying that Canelo will be at 170 the night of the fight! Who the **** cares? if he made weight on the day of the weight in, thats all that matters, what weight he comes in at the night of the fights doesnt matter, and if it will matter then lets go back to the old days when the weight in was 5 minutes before each fight!

If little flower floyd doesnt want to fight, well let it be, if he wants to fight fighters that will not challenge him, weill let it be...

I never heard Leonard asking Marvin Hagler to fight him at a catch weight or to fight him at 154, when they were fighting for the 160 lb belt???

People on this site have sad lives! All they do is hate and talk negative knowing damn well they wouldn't last two rounds in a ring with another professional boxer in their weight range!

Do people really think Floyd or any other top athlete gives a damn what an internet blogger says negative about them? Simple if you truly dislike this dude, make your life easy by not watching any of his fights, reading none of his articles, and treat him like the person you think he is by ignoring him.

But obviously his negative fans show more of an interest in him than people who support him. To have that much hate is unhealthy, wasn't Floyd the highest paid athlete two years in a row??

Now does that sound like he needs Canelo to you if they never fought yet and he is still the highest paid? And Canelo has sold 0 PPV as the headliner not none! Boxing is a business people, and the person that generates the most money calls the shots.

Majority of the people here know that, but seem to turn the head when it doesn't fit their agenda. Canelo made Lopez move up to 154 did he not? Made Trout fight in Texas, with no rematch clause for Austin, but Canelo got one why is that?

I could go on and on Dawson came down to fight Ward 168 because Dawson was calling Ward out not the other way around. Pac had: Marquez, Bradley and now Rios come to his division why is that?

Oscar did the same with Floyd, Oscar was the man he was the top dog at the time, and the cash cow. If Floyd wanted the fight that bad he had to follow the rules of Oscar: 154, glove size, ring size, all that.

Now if you can't see it from this angle, or refuse to acknowledge the top dog calls the shots, than stop watching the person you dislike, nobody is forcing you to read and write in these articles.

I never gave Canelo a pass for those fights but he JUST unified with Trout and tried to get Kirkland and Williams in the ring so he has stepped up! This is not about Canelo, this is about Floyds verbal attack on Pac for doing what he is doing now!

I can respect that, but I believe what PAC has done as far as catch weights is just a little worse then Mayweather asking for the fight to be at 147
