Floyd fights at his natural weight when most boxers shed 20+ pounds to fight in the division of their choice. He could beat guys at 154, even against the weight disadvantage but 160? That would be crazy against guys like Chavez Jnr who are naturally CWs.

Canelo is young and still growing. You actually think his weight is going to start going backwards?

there have been a ton of Sergio threads on here and even starting to get a good deal of Triple G stuff. Some even said they wouldnt even give him crediit for a Sergio win unless its at 160

Yeah, it's not comparable at all. Him fighting legit 154 is just legitimizing his 2x champ status in his 5th and highest division. MW is a pipe dream if he's unwilling to fight the likes of Canelo at 154, or even 150.

lol how much is he going to put on by September?

Flomos need to stop crying about weight, Manny Pacquiao at 148lbs took on Antonio Margarito at 165lbs with no complaints.

I'd like to point out that I don't recall the last time Floyd's fight night weight was announced by any person involved officially within Boxing's many ranking bodies. Yet I do not believe Floyd is still 147 on fight night, if everyone else is normally losing weight to make weigh in and this guy works out as much as is legend there is no way his walk around weight isn't around 12 to 15 pounds higher than 147 unless he's coming up to make 147 which I don't think is the case at his age. 154 isn't some big leap will foes hit harder yes but bigger guys don't tend to have faster hands than smaller ones.

I don't know, he probably has a few lbs of leeway. Cotto has no issues fighting him or Trout, who was 170. Is Cotto a better SWW, or just braver?

Exactly. They showed fight night weights for every fight on that card except Floyd's. He's about the only guy in the sport that makes a point of skipping next day weighin, and he deserves the benefit on the doubt on weight? GTFO

Good point...they are big! Personally I'd love to see Mayweather/Canelo, he's fought at the weight & it's a risk he's going to have to consider....I can't see either beating him anyway.

Dude, Cotto started out at 140 and was always a WW. He killed himself to make 140. He use to come into the ring at 157 pounds for those fights. Him & Floyd are not the same at all. I felt Cotto won some fights at 140 strictly because he was too big for those guys. Otherwise Chop & maybe Torress beat him
