You know what's funny, any Floyd thread that gets made his haters jump in and post before an of his fans ever get the chance to. They are WAYYYYYY more obsessed with Floyd than any of his fans could ever be.
I am a floyd fan but the only way i would say that high is if he thought Canelo at 154, Martinez at 160 and then Ward at 168

Awful post! So he has to beat the MW champion then the consensus #2 foghter in world at 168. Ridicoulous!

He will go down as one of the best. Top 5 still to be seen but yes one of the best. His defensive is already top 5 ever.

Or judged on the 0 in his record?

Floyd Mayweather Jnr will be treated with the same regard as Rocky Marciano in many ways I think, not for style etc but the way he carefully picked who he fought.

He wont finish above Sugar Ray Leonard(fought by far tougher opponents), Willie Pep, Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson or Henry Armstrong.

A 0 in a record doesn't always mean best fight of all time, loads of the best fighters of yesteryear had a loss probably because they actually took hard fights.
Pfff. Carefully picked his mandatories maybe. Lol

Guerrero and Ortiz were his mandatories... Funny because champs always get knocked for not fighting there mandatories but Floyd actually gets knocked for fighting his mandatories.

He has faced and beaten more champs than DLH in much less number of fights.
44-0 (22-0 in Title fights) exactly half of his career has been a title fight.
...some cherrypicker. Go learn boxing or SOMETHING

Ah yes, the Golden Age of boxing. When viewing the past don't forget to put on your rose tinted glasses.

No, I think people take a biased look at the yesteryears of boxing. Sports athletes are continuously made better in every generation due to scientific advances in exercising, nutrition, and dieting as well as an accumulation of knowledge on offense and defensive skills. You can't make a solid argument that boxers 20 years ago were better conditioned and coaches had more boxing lore stored in their head then boxers and coaches today.

Where was Mayweather when Paul Williams was in 147?
Where was he when Margarito was a serious force in the division...
                  Fighting 37yo Shane Mosley... lmao
Then the whole BS with Manny Pacquiao, top 5 ATG's don't make excuses.

A lot of people acknowledge Mayweather for his cherry picking skills he's great at it, he's just as wonderful at it as Frank Warren was at it for Joe Calzaghe.

You should just accept the truth and praise him for being great at it.

What kills him is his cherry picking opponents. Ducking fights FANS wanna see. All the hype networks like HBO and Showtime make to keep viewers happy wont account for ATG status when its all said and done.
Despite his small fan base. Floyd will always be remembered as a cherry picker.
The one who ducked Manny Pacquiao for the Biggest most anticipated fight in Boxing history.
The one who faked a retirement to duck the rematch with DLH. And the rest of the WW division in which was full of hot prime tough opponents!

anyone who cannot see this. Needs to have an evaluation!
It's the actual opposite. He's stature is INCREASING that's why lately alot of fighters, promoters and managers are saying he is one of the best ever.

From 130-147 he would be a very difficult match-up for about anyone, that is just how it is either you can accept that fact or you can't.
