Them body punches are going to hurt a hell of a lot more than they ever have.

IMO if Alvarez stands there and tried to counter-punch or wait for angles he's not going to win the fight. You don't get those opportunities against Mayweather. Canelo has to get on him early and make his punches count.

If he does that, imo he's going to lose.
Sp your basically saying that canelo will lose cuz you can not change a fighter into a pressure fighter at the beginning of the fight especially after 40 fights.....at 40 fights what you see is what you going to get.

Yeah because the ginger walks in the ring at 170 not because he's special.

Won a fight most were sure he was going to lose. He didn't look bothered at all to me but oh well. He deserves his shot just like everyone else, especially given the pressure Floyd is under to make money for Showtime.

Golden Boy Promotions wants to make a fight between Canelo and the recognized pound-for-pound king, Floyd Mayweather Jr., on September 14th in Las Vegas.

Mayweather watched some video of Canelo, including his recent victory over Austin Trout, and he doesn;t see anything that presents a real danger to his son.

People can say you can't counterpunch with Mayweather but you can certainly do it. If Canelo can counter that big lead right hand Floyd likes it could be lights out. Canelo is the best opponent for Floyd and if he fights him he will gain credibility.

Well, we have to see if Floyd finds his set of balls and signs the contract to fight Canelo at 154. Remember this Floyd Sr, Canelo aint no washed up fighter or B level fighters like Ortiz and Guerrero and Hatton or undersized guy like Marquez

I'm saying he has the physical tools to win. He has the handspeed, the accuracy and most importantly the power.

However, I don't think he can just lean back and wait for the perfect shot, he has to attack and the early rounds are imo his best opportunity.
