Canelo has to beat Berto first. You beat Trout it means nothing.

All I meant is that it was a close fight and Canelo had just as many flaws as Trout. I was super impressed by his athleticism & defense but come on, Trout did not get exposed. It was the #2 & 3 154ers having a good hard fought title unification. You can't trash Trout for the heart he showed.
You're right. Neither man got exposed. It's rare to see the 2 top guys in the division fight, so they both get my respect regardless.

I was exaggerating a tad bit, when I said he got "exposed".

haven't bought into the canelo hype. just because he looked good beating up past prime and naturally smaller guys doesn't make him legit...and once he stepped up and FINALLY fought a prime 154lber he looked ordinary and showed lousy stamina.

And this was the only decent win he has ever had, besides trout his resume is complete garbage. Canelo throws powerful and nice combos, but half the time he takes the round off, and vs trout he threw like 30 punches per round. Now with mayweather back with SR and fighting more defensive, I don't see a very action filled fight. And the only threat canelo poses to floyd is size.

I would way rather see floyd fight martinez, pacquiao or the winner of the 140 lb tournament. State your opinions and comments please.
You'd rather see him fight possibly someone who he will have a weight, size and reach advantage over in the 140 tournament?
You'd also rather see Mayweather fight a 37year old guy who in a lot of minds lost to Martin Murray?

I think we know fine well there isn't alot of options out there that strikes as a dangerous fight for Mayweather but at the 154lbs weight division I think this is where Mayweather would get his run for his money.

Embarrassing concept for a guy who everyone calls the the best.

Mathysse would have been a better match and more entertaining for Guerrero. Or Peterson, Garcia, Khan, Maidana, even Malignaggi.

now you're crying about his work rate not being high enough.

                  Same old story.

The funniest part is this time last year the fight was considered a joke and the cherry pick of all cherry picks.
Canelo hadn't proven himself against a top opponent, he has now. Surely this is obvious. Canelo's not the finished article but it's the best fight that can be made.

If Canelo wins, the boxing fans will push for him to fight someone like Lara or Cotto. If Mayweather wins people will want to see a Pacquiao or (probably) a Matthysse fight.

This is how boxing is supposed to work...

You guys act like you just found out Canelo is a JMW.
lol i doubt most people knew, i didnt know he was 170 in the ring until the trout fight. trout is good but nobody is scared canelo can beat floyd based on his boxing ability, floyd is still 100x better than trout and canelo
