Oscar had the right blend of skill, speed and size to take down Mayweather (he certainly would have if they fought a few years earlier), but Canelo is a completely different fighter. He has **** stamina, is crazy slow-footed and has average skills at best. This is a walk in the park for Floyd.
Fans overrate Canelo?? You are an idiot, fans overrate Floyd, along with the US media. Floyd is a coward that only hugs and runs, boring. Sure, he has natural athletic ability and good defense. That´s it. He can´t KO a girl scout. Floyd is simply a product marketed to brainwash fans. just like Coca-Cola or Cheerios. Real men like boxers who fight, that´s why people prefer to watch old videos of Chavez, Duran, Valero, Sanchez, Hagler, Tyson , etc. and nobody watches Whitaker.

I think the fight will happen in Sept. It will do good PPV #s nothing record breaking but probably 1.3 - 1.9 million PPV. The fight has the possibility of being bigger if Canelo waited a bit and built his own PPV following but Canelos impatient and feels entitled who I think believes his own press clippings a little too much. If he wants to lose his 0 in Sept that's his choice

I can't see in ANY way Canelo beating Mayweather. I don't even think he would drop Mayweather even if he landed flush on him tbh.

          It will be seen.

Canelo is not a flawless fighter but how Floyd fights will work well for what he does well plus with his size advantage his punches will look much more fierce. So if he can make Floyd miss a bit do at least better than average on really connected blows and get credit for some blows where he was moving Floyd around with blocked/partially blocked shots he could make it work from there and pick up a W.

Floyd does best when he faces high output guys who think they can break down Floyd defense, Canelo is a thoughtful offensive fighter with some defense. You don't have to like his chances and there are certainly reasons not to because he will have to beat Floyd at his game (kind of), but the fact remains that is Canelo's game also.
Apparently Canelo likes to be aggressive vs smaller guys (just what Floyd is) So my guess is he WILL be aggressive. And thats when he leaves his openings cause he puts too much sauce on every punch he throws. Let's not kid ourselves either, Canelo was showing flashy defensive moves vs the slower (than Mayweather) Trout. Mayweather shoots that straight right down the pipe QUICK. Canelo will probably take them well cause of the size difference but they'll be landing without a doubt.

Canelo has to set his feet to throw his punches and we know Mayweather is just not gonna let him do that.

That remains to be seen~ I think it can be effective. Floyd will be impossible to totally stop or totally break him open but if you can stop him a bit and hit him a bit more you are making real progress toward actually beating him.

The problem for Canelo is he likes being on the outside, that give Floyd time to react and space to operate, Canelo has shown some decent ability to shorten up his shots but he doesn't seem like a natural inside fighter. If he had better abilities on the inside I would like his chances a lot more because just shooting from the outside won't get it done especially because he really doesn't out range Floyd by that much (he might be bigger and stronger but he isn't much taller or longer).

Floyd doesnt really have to break Canelo down in my opinion. Canelo has shown crap stamina vs smaller guys and vs the bigger guy (Trout) he wasnt even the aggressor and was still gassed.

Floyd will break Canelo down mentally tho, like he does to all his opponents.
