They had around 1500 empty seats during the fight. They obviously tried to give them away as comps but people didn't want them
They were giving away free tickets and people still didn't want them so when they say this fight did over 1 mill I find it highly su****ious

I had a few people over that helped me pay for it but to be honest, if the Ghost wasn't fighting, I probably would have just ******ed it. If he fights anyone but Canelo in September I will ****** it regardless if it's $60 or $70

There is no way May-Gu did more than a million. Terrible promotion, no hype really, HBO is way, way, WAYYYY better. Shame.

There are too many other revenue ******s and more accurate expense numbers you are not personally privvy to, to just make a quick summary if Sho banked or not.
Also Mayweathers Gaurantee could allso be based on the amount of ppvs tallied, with an upside option of ppv rev share if ppvs exceed anotherhigher number.
You dont have the contracts, none of us really know the true numbers. Good or bad.

Im open to whoever has whatever opinion on how it did... but be smart enough to know, that you dont know it all.
And if you dont... then you dont know how it did.

personally i thought the fight would do 800-900k, given the switch to Show. A million or over is very good imo. Not sure what this talk is about it not even breaking even at a mil or 900k. A quick back of the envelope tells me:
1,000,000 x $69.95 = $70 mil
gate = $10 mil
this excludes any foreign rights, but let's say $80m total.
Floyd at $32 mil and Guerrero @ $3m. Say Floyd has another $8 mil upside from the PPV, and Robert $2mil. Add another $5m for the other fighters on the card. That's $50m.
So showtime can't extract a few mill for themselves from the $30m leftover after promoters take their cut, site fee and advertising????
If they lost money it's their own fault because they must have given Floyd a SILLY SILLY deal that means he's keeping another $20m on top of the $32 he got on Monday after the match.
