I think GBP needs to do a better job promoting Abner Mares. He's a pound for pound material and most of the hispanic fans have no idea who he is and that was one of the main reasons this PPV didn't do well with hispanics. They need to promote him better.

well if you subtract the 20% he added you end up with 880000

so sifting though Schaefer's BS the PPV sold 880k which is near the 900k estimate that was being reported tuesday.

Point is about the PPV buys, right now nobody know what the numbers are. Showtime needs at least 1.2 m ppv buys to offset the operating cost. Floyd did good even if he just sells 900 PPV. He's walking away with 32M regardless.

Canelo and JR are stealing too much of that thunder right now. There wasn't really any unbeaten Mexican star around Morales' or Arce's time to be the next Chavez besides Morales himself.... plus Morales was lucky enough to have Barrera as a foe.

Santa Cruz vs Mares would be amazing if they made that fight.
