I agree PPV numbers/debates have NOTHING to do with being fans of the sport, since we aren't involved in the business. But it's highly hypocritical for Mayweather fans to use that argument, when in the past while discussing potential fights for Floyd, they start talking about how much PPV revenue Floyd generates, and why he deserves this, that or the other. Well you can't have it both ways, if it was okay to bring up then, then it should be okay to discuss now.

That's a logical response. I still wouldn't put it passed them to jack up the numbers, specially with Schaefer b*tching the way he is lol. We'll find out soon enough.. I say 750k to 900k is believable.

Not surprising if it didn't do well. The Ginger fight will be huge.

If showtime loses money, which they won't btw, who cares? They have plenty. Networks regularly waste millions on shows that bomb and get canceled. The fact us network execs are well aware of what they are doing with this. This isn't at all about ppv numbers. Its about branding. Pol on here just ding know how to look outside the box which is why the rich become rich

Comparing the Canelo PPV numbers to this fight make absolutely no sense, for one reason and one reason only, Canelo whether he underperformed or not (he's only starting out his PPV career) is not contracted by a cable network with a guaranteed payout. Canelo's numbers or lack thereof could easily be explained away. Golden Boy does have reasons to try and protect their image here, especially with Mayweather being contracted to the network.

He said that he`s willing to prove his numbers is accurate and that he wants Arum to prove the PPV numbers he claims for Pacquiao to be accurate.

What is your point? I'm talking about from show times perspective

I think GBP needs to do a better job promoting Abner Mares. He's a pound for pound material and most of the hispanic fans have no idea who he is and that was one of the main reasons this PPV didn't do well with hispanics. They need to promote him better.
