Why do so many people still buy PPV fights? It's 2013, not 1993

Anyone have an explanation for this?
because we're not bums living in our parents homes. We have our own homes with big HD TVs.

For those saying you don't want to deal with crappy/choppy/laggy/freezing streams, you aren't looking hard enough. It is indeed 2013, you can watch streams in amazing quality hooked up to your TV via HDMI.

I still buy some PPVs, but ones that are not worth it get streamed.

I've tried a lot of streams and found none of them compare with the HD quality you get with PPV. Sure, you can hook your computer up through HDMI, but the actual stream quality is substandard.

I'm a quality freak. The goal is to get as close to lossless audio and video as I possibly can, which is why I purchased good home theater/stereo equipment and continue to buy CDs, Blu-rays, and HD PPVs. Also I'm always happy to support boxing.

Why do people buy food when they can just get some in the local dumpster?

              That's my opinion anyway.
I´m not so sure about that, boxers have been paid by the millions before PPV and the sport was just fine.PPV basically means they get to be a few millions richer, which you have been brainwashed into believing that´s ¨good¨ for the sport.

I buy PPV I just don't buy Mayweather bouts and it seemed that many joined me for boycotting a Floyd boring fight hit, hold, and run

Because if you like boxing or the fighter, you will pay to support the sport, plus the quality is better. Who cares about a $60 ppv charge once a month or so?

Not that I'm rich or anything but 70 bucks a few times a year (at most)? I mean f**k, come on. Peanuts. On a good Friday night I'll drop more than that on a freaking bar tab. Oh and I got a 60 inch plasma, I'll be damned if I'm gonna watch some crappy internet feed through it.

It doesn't support the sport. PPVs damage the sport. The Networks themselves admit this.
