Can we be rational for one sec.

How does 40k (some seats at $10) give you leverage over 900+k (at $69.95) or 1.25 mil (at $59.95)? floyd's live gate with 15k was as much as canelo's with 40k.

Canelo will get more than cotto. Ifctiltes $10 mil (plus ppv) seems about right.

Mosley was universally considered to be the P4P #3 in the world as late as 2010.

I'd say that would be quite relevant.

For once in your lives, can you Floyd fans stop coming up with all the predetermined excuses that Floyd should use, so he doesn't have to fight a threat.

        ****in A.

floyd appears to have done 900k with ghost and no real effort to market on his part. ITs definitely not what floyd is used to and the networks took a hit.

How does 40k (some seats at $10) give you leverage over 900+k (at $69.95) or 1.25 mil (at $59.95)?

          Lets be rational here.
Because that 900k lost the network money. There was nothing that Floyd was going to do that was going to change that. A few more interviews weren't going to convince more people to buy the fight.

When you know all about the A side its up to the B side to sell the fight.

You think it will be any different with Garcia, Alexander, or Khan just because Floyd does a few more interviews? You think Showtime wants to risk that?

I was at the Canelo/Trout fight, this kid has major buzz around him. It would be an easy sell in September or next year. I think it would get close to the 2million mark. Not just because of Canelo but because Floyd would be giving fans a fight they actually asked for in along time.
How many people were watching Floyd fight when he was 22? He was headlining ESPN cards in empty gyms in Grand Rapids. Canelo is just starting and is a bigger draw than anyone else Floyd can realistically step in the ring with.
Now could that leverage kill the fight, sure it could. Like 50 said, Floyd wants to control everything and make the offers. Canelo's team in the past have said they won't play hardball with the money. I hope they stick to that and put the pressure on Floyd to make the fight. We'll see....

Bro, you should know by now that Floyd fans play dumb when it comes to defending Floyd's ducking ass.

I want this fight to happen so bad so we can hear the excuses when Canelo loses. Just like those excuses came when everyone said Floyd wasn't going to fight Mosley after he KO'D Margarito. Then after he beat him everyone rushed to say that Mosley was washed up. Now here we go again with this bs and when Canelo loses it will be the same thing over. Canelo is the only person left that has any chance of beating Floyd anyway. I doubt Floyd will go back to 154 after this.

What will you Flowmosexuals come up with when the fight doesn't happen, and he promises the fans that his next fight will be with Canelo, and then reneges on his statement?

How old was mosley in 2010? F'n 40??? For a 40 year old to be #3 P4P is a dam shame in boxing! That's why ALL POLITICS baby. It was just to sell fights. Give Mosley one last payday. And he's earned it, so why not give it to the guy.
Not just the magazines. Just generally all the lists in Boxing and boxing writer's alike considered it.

I'd say that's relevant. Revionist history is great, but it doesn't change the reality of the time.

                  Mosley was 38 in 2010.

A few years prior, Hopkins was near the top of the P4P lists into his 40's. Infact, the short time Hopkins was P4P #1, he was around the same age as Shane when he was #3.

I'm not a big fan of Floyd. I am just sick of this spoiled fighter name Canelo. I just want this fight to happen so people can shut up about it because Canelo isn't in his league. People are banking on his size and power and that is it. Canelo isn't even as good as Oscar was when Floyd fought him at that cw.

Canelo will get exactly what Victor Ortiz got.
