Hopefully Canelo doesn't ask for too much.

I agree with the Canelo=Floyd before the Oscar bout. Canelo should take what is given to him and know afterwards he is going to MAKE BANK.

Hold your horses home skillet, nothings been signed yet. Shaefer and Haymon can talk all they want.
If Floyd takes the fight, then good for him, can't call him a ducker for this one.
But I would wait to get all high and mighty just because promoters are talking.

You mean "too much?" 98% chance.

Still a lot of reasons for this deal to fall through. Canelo is about as dangerous of an opponent he can face so if he DOES wish to duck him...he has plenty of negotiation antics to play...

Canelo WILL ask (and does deserve) a lot more than the few million he's been paying other opponents. Mayweather can low ball him to the point where the fight falls through.

Mayweather may want to fight Canelo at a lighter weight. Maybe a catch weight like 150 or even try to force him down to 147.

I'll get excited when the ink dries...then I will regret attending the Guerrero fight vs. this one.

This fight will be monster PPV hit mostly beacuse of Canelo; He's Mexican, he's young, he has fan friendly style, he is extremely popular, Not to mention September 14 is Mexican holiday. And let's be honest, after Guerrero fiasco, Showtime will be pushing on Floyd to sign this fight.
He's young and mexican. if thats the case let floyd fight oscar valdez on ppv.

floyd will duck him, he will offer canelo like 5m to force him to decline it like he did vs pac, short change the guy lol

canelo should earn around 10m for this fight imo

Canelo's team will say: "Look at your last two PPV events without ginger attached.

2009- vs JMM, barely over 1 million buys despite JMM having "a whole country behind him." (Floyd's words)
2013- vs Ghost, preliminary #s show sub 1mil PPV buys, great for everyone else, but crappy for Floyd and a money loss for Showtime.
You really want to risk another sub par PPV event against Khan, Alexander, or Garcia?

Schaefer has been trying to make this fight happen ever since anyone can remember. Floyd picked Guerrero instead. A guy with six fans, and on a Mexican holiday. Let's see if the banker will have success this time. Seems Alexander is the only other choice. A guy with two fans.
