Didn't see that but if u look at one of garcias interviews he said the tournament is not set in stone that it was more of a verbal thing just said he made it clear that he doesn't need to fight the winner of that fight and a potential Floyd fight could happen....

floyd has no fanbase, a small one if you count the mayweather mafia but those guys all are ****s

Well I can see that happening but it'll make more sense for Floyd to fight him if he beats the winner of Lucas-Lamont. That would be more ideal for me. I would take that over khan or alexander but I think Canelo would be more difficult for Floyd. Garcia is my man but he'd be smaller and not as good as Floyd. While Canelo is also not as good but he'd have the size to help make up for it.

Actually, Floyd is a Super World Champion at 154. If you want to compete at 154 you should take on all comers. Otherwise, what's the point of being a champion if you can avoid anyone you deem too dangerous. Either compete in a weight class or don't. I can't believe people are saying Floyd should't have to defend his title.

These threads are going to be goldmines once this fight gets signed in the next few weeks.

it's a win -win for both fighters and the fans . even if floyd could lose he could come back and avenge his only loss . Lennox Lewis did it and he was a classy champ .

                  Floyd will beat him...

Canelo should try and get the fight in 4/5 fights time in which he'll improve and mayweather will get slower

                    Yeah... we both get it.

Bottom line: Oscar has no confidence in Canelos ability to beat Floyd this Sept (or any time over the next year).... so Oscar is taking a page out of the Top Rank playbook. Plan on hearing Canelo call out Mayweather and make demands (fight must take place at 154, ect...) knowing full well that the fight won't come together like that.... and Mayweather will look bad in the eyes of all Mexicans and casual observers.

We'll see what happens. I think Floyd should go for it- do a mega fight. I'm willing to bet the numbers against Guerrero might provide at least some degree of motivation to go ahead and do a really big event.

Comments saying Canelo needs to "build up his name" are blind. He's the biggest fight available, whether you think he's too green or not doesn't exactly matter at this point. He has been groomed exactly for this to happen.

Floyd and Canelo could likely be Floyd's biggest fight since the de la Hoya and Hatton fights.

Hatton was the last time Floyd was in a "someone's 0 has to go" situation and it was a huge KO win for him. That's the stuff we want to see!
