  • For being the challenger and the fighter with the most to gain, he is very rigid in his negotiation stance. Every fighter make concession to be on top. SRL gave up money with Hagler, Floyd gave up everything for Oscar, but Canelo thinks hes running ****.

What did Hagler concede to Leonard? A big ring, ten oz gloves and the fight shortened to 12 rounds. Also this is an absolutely piss poor comparison from you as Leonard was already an established superstar and generated far more money than Hagler.

At the time Leonard was barely fighting, Hagler was the man to beat. To get the W and be acknowledged as best Leonard made concessions. And how is this piss poor when Canelo is established as well? The main point still remains. Canelo

          • Easiest fight in years for Floyd. Canelo is so many rungs below Mayweather right now. They might as well cash out now though, because, as I see it, Canelo is as good as he's ever going to be right now.

Bottom line: Oscar has no confidence in Canelos ability to beat Floyd this Sept (or any time over the next year).... so Oscar is taking a page out of the Top Rank playbook. Plan on hearing Canelo call out Mayweather and make demands (fight must take place at 154, ect...) knowing full well that the fight won't come together like that.... and Mayweather will look bad in the eyes of all Mexicans and casual observers.
Yea they know it we know it and all of money's haters know it.....it's so obvious but there so obsessed with wanting to see Floyd lose that they'll over look the obvious . Canelo and Oscar and everybody in the world knows thsat you don't get nowhere telling Floyd what to do....look what happened with Floyd n pac .....he's the face of boxing you don wtf he says simple as that nobody told Oscar what to do n when to do it. Floyd is already known to idiotic wannabe boxing fans as a ducker so redheads team knows that even tho there the ones ducking by not coming down in weight just bit that everybody is going to blame Floyd and not him. Either way the world will go on Floyd will still make his 32 million minimum and canelo will try n keep fooling the world he's actually good by fighting a small old done cotto and then wait for Sergio to get a little older n slower n fight him. Golden boy ain't fooling nobody but themselves and there casual boxing fans.

It's called being smart. Who do you think can go on to headline a PPV, and not make 1 million buys yet have it be a great success and who needs at least 1.2 or more million buys in every single PPV due to their deal? Floyd has gotten himself in a pickle at this point.

Canelo can dictate what he wants, if Floyd doesn't acquiesce, Canelo can walk away and headline his own PPV. Showtime and the CBS big wigs will start to put the grip on him if he doesn't make them any money. Canelo actually does have Floyd right where he wants him..........or at least Oscar does.

At 22? Not sure how you can see it that way, especially as he brought some new abilities to his last fight v Trout.

Yea canelo can dictate what he wants and keep making 2 and 3 million dollar paydays compared to Floyd's minimum.....nobody has Floyd were they want...Floyd's got himself were he wants and that's Ina guaranteed contract ....
