I'd bet dollars to doughnuts this is a ploy by Team Canelo to build his PPV sales for his upcoming bout against their true target, Miguel Cotto.

What's the rush for the Mayweather fight now? As it stands, Canelo has the power and size advantage, nothing else. Floyd showed that he's still the Floyd we all know, stick and move for 12 rounds.

They're using Mayweather's name to build this kid up. This is the same thing Arum did with Pacquiao. They will yap a lot, but price themselves out of the bout and continue to wait for Mayweather to age or show signs of decline.

One thing is for sure, you wouldn't dare see Canelo move up to take on Martinez or GGG. Hell, he won't even give Lara a shot.

Before looking North, Canelo would like to establish himself as a PPV seller... He can't do this without Floyd... As Floyd couldn't do it without Oscar De La Hoya...

Stan ****? Wasn't Mayweather stripped of his WBA belt at 154?

"Canelo was a GBP hype job. Who did he beat? Trout? His best win was against a shot Miguel Cotto and the gatekeeper Delvin. Floyd staged a fake retirement and ducked the real challenges like Cotto, Margarito, Mosely and Paul Williams. Now when he comes back when the 147 and 154 pound divisions were weak. If he truly wants to prove his greatness, he needs to beat GGG, Martinez or Ward"

These threads are going to be goldmines once this fight gets signed in the next few weeks.

Not going to happen until its Floyd's last fight period!!

So I wish Canelo would quit asking and fight people his own size. Floyd is a businessman and will not risk his "0" to prove a point right now. Floyd will wait till he's collected all his money he will make for the next 4 fights and go out with an a**whooping on Canelo if even choses to go there. Floyd don't need to prove he can beat Canelo right now. He's smart he will wait till his last fight and thats if Canelo is LUCKY to even get the fight. So look elsewhere Canelo and fight contenders and prove you're even worth getting a shot at FLOYD!!

Wait, if Floyd's hood thinks he got the fight in the bag, then why turn right around and make excuses for why the fight should not happen??
