The charge is one of domestic violence. For that to be the case, police need to establish that there is a relationship.

The comments below are not true. The woman was not indicated by police as having been arrested. Rather, the hotel security had both the man and the woman in their custody when police were called. The only arrest was Wilder. The woman was taken to the hospital.

so it's not true that i speculated about her being a hooker?

    that's what you're saying.

My intent was only to clarify things, given my reporting.

I'm sorry that you took umbrage with the way I phrased my comment. Take care, and thanks for reading.

arrest is the process by which you're taken out of your own custody. the definitions legally and in the language that we use for both are very similar.
Dude, what are you still babbling about?

I pointed out very adequately that she plainly was not arrested, as was plainly written in the text I quoted (from the original article).

Disgusting. What an idiot to even put himself in a situation like that.

taking into account that her being "taken into custody of security" was mentioned right alongside wilder, it was not an unreasonable jump to make at the time (last night, as soon as the story broke and the reports were rolling in.)

and if we're talking about babbling, my japanese-oregonian friend, we need to visit the drunk language thread, IE your diary.

i'm assuming the hooker got arrested for warrants or drug possession. wilder sounds like he double jabbed his way inside & landed a few big rights. what i don't understand is why she was able to walk away? overrated punching power? i'm not up to date...

I wish the best for Deontay Wilder. If he gets arrested, I hope he gets the minimum. If he doesn't get arrested then hopefully he can continue his pursuit at a world title.
