If break even was 1.2 on this fight they made a terrible decision to air it.

If it were to break 1milly I'ts higher than what i would have thought.

Floyd can opt out of the deal after one fight. If this event flopped, does he go back to HBO?

No, they simply wont have the funds to stage certain fights this year and will cut shows and fights that will eat up the budget. I think last year Showtime had a $29 mil budget

He won't unless he fires Al Haymon.

Al Haymon is Floyds boss, he does whatever Al tells him.

And Al Haymon might have burned bridges with HBO so it would be less likely Floyd goes back there unless he fires Haymon.

50 Cent was actually helping Floyd when he told him to get rid of Haymon and think of being his own boss and getting all the money and retiring as a boss, but Floyd needs someone with smarts because he knows he doesn't have the business brain to handle a business.

People really need to question Espinosa's role in all of this.

From GBP's attorney, to Showtime Head of Sports, to tying SHO into a phenomenally dangerous deal all weighted in favour of Floyd, who is a de facto GBP fighter.

There's a serious conflict of interest here.

Floyd's going to retire in 5 fights so there are no implications for him if it all goes badly wrong. But what happens to GBP if SHO has to cut back on its budget big time?

And we have seen something like this, albeit on a much smaller scale, in Audley with the BBC and Haye with Sky Sports. But those channels got burned by bad deals and are now incredibly wary of going near boxing.

Floyd banks above 32 mill and did nothing to promote it , it was a poor under card a mandatory main against a guy we all knew cant beat Floyd , if it gets anywhere near a mill its good numbers .

Its like every fighter out there its never about one its always about the matchup .

What did Manny do against Clottey
              Mosley against Taylor
              Cotto against Jennings
              Oscar against Sturm
              Manny against Diaz

The list is a mile long so I really dont understand the fanboys in here its like they just started watching boxing and dont understand what the trends of the sport are about .

Long-term, GBP would too. Showtime is their home, they've burnt their bridges with HBO.

Hopefully, Showtime have an opt-out with this arrangement with Floyd if they have just lost a huge amount of money. Sustaining a loss-maker like this could be really, really damaging for SHO, GBP and boxing. Floyd ain't give a **** and why should he?
