I dont think anyone can beat Rigo as of now tbh, Rigo is just too beastly

but Mares has a better chance than Donaire, Mares is always evolving and adapting to everything, he's a Darwin of the ring

pretty sure he'd bring a few good gameplans to deal with Rigo, unlike Donaire's sole plan which consisted in following Rigo around the ring like an imbecile hoping to land a single big left hook

cool thanks..it seems like rigo wants to defend his 122 titles against mares rather than move up to featherweight. it shouldn't be a problem for mares to come down to 122 to fight rigo..but only thing is rigo is with top rank and mares is with gbp.

I've always been under the impression that Mares gives Rigondeaux much more trouble than Donaire does, even before Rigo outclassed Nonito.

Mares cuts the ring off much better than Donaire does, mixes up his combinations better, and knows how to apply intelligent pressure.

This fight should be nothing short of awesome.

only reason Rigo looked as good as he did its 'cause Nonito understimated him

And he was out of shape and also only trained with Robert Garcia for two weeks prior to the fight, he was not willing to train in Oxnard ! also he had a pregnant wife , which i bet he had the munchies also! lol i know i gained like 15 lbs when my wife was pregnant ,I think IMO his mind was on his offspring rather than the fight! I see Nonito coming back faster and stronger! Now Mares keeps proving everyone wrong time after time ,I know he will do it again against Rigo! let Rigo come up to 126lbs , I am sure the story would be different! yes boxing fam i am talking about the Mares who won the super six , beating the like of Darchinian, agbenko and coming and beating Moreno and all the rest! Styles makes fights and then type of pressure he applies on their opponents would be perfect to beat Rigondeoux! i See Mares by 9rds tko

Rigondeaux is the purest boxer on earth. Even Mayweather cant box like Rigo does and Im being conservative. Rigo would murder Mares if they ever fight each other. Rigo can easily jump to 135 without losing because nobody can catch him

Rigo in a much tougher fight than most would expect.

I agree and let's not forget that Mares might be the most complete fighter in the game outside of Mayweather maybe.

He can pressure, counter, brawl, can box inside and out and seems to adapt to any style.

                  I would love this fight.

                    Sounds like alot of

                    To me.

Lets give Rigo all the merit he deserves for giving Donaire a lesson on boxing 101!

Easy work for Rigondeaux. I still want to see it though.
