i was bashed by numerous posters for having jaun diaz as my avatar when i joined this forum and in my sig shortly thereafter.
after the diaz fight many changed there minds but still don't think he's a threat to any top level 135's.

imo, diaz's relentless attack has much room for improvement in punch placement and strength issues. however, he is exciting to watch and has shown he can regroup after being down on the canvas early in his career and has wins over sim, cotto, and lorcy impressively.

i will admit, that his win over sim was actually more impressive than the cotto fight which may be attributed to his inactivity.

Prior to the Castillo fight, he'd looked very impressive with wins over Courtney Burton and Javier Jauregui.

Anyone else a fan of this guy?

And if you were in charge of his career, what's the next move?

I think a fight with Jesus Chavez or Nate Campbell (should he get through his fight in a few weeks) would be a step in the right direction.
      enjoy watching him fight

a fight with jesus chavez or jaun diaz will eventually happen with no clear cut favorite except that any fights between any of these guys will be non-stop action

actually i think both diaz's need a win over a big name, but no longer so formidable opponent anymore to boost their fan base amongst us diehard fans at least

joel cassamayor comes to mind off the cuff
