  • To think he will be given no credit for beating Canelo is bull*****. I had been criticizing Floyd for years....until he went toe to toe with Cotto and beat him. I gave Floyd a lot of credit for that win. I don't think a win over Berto made Guerrero the top challenge to Floyd, no way could he lose that fight. If Floyd beats Canelo, he will erase all doubt. If he wants to erase the doubt, he must fight Canelo.

Me, I like the idea of going out undefeated at this point. From a historical standpoint. People saw how little he looked against Cotto, he would look like a midget against any of these guys.
then what's the point of competition in boxing? you can't be great if you don't chase greatness. you'll just be another Cherrypicker with an unblemished record like Calzaghe

      • This horrible choice of Guerrero was apparently done so on the basis that he would take a tougher fight in September, specifically Canelo.

Same old Mayweather, promising us a better fight down the line. And yet never delivering.

Guerrero not beaten in 7 years , 2 WW wins beating a top 5 guy , rated No 3 , Floyd already beat No2 , and this fight was the official mandatory , Floyd out for a year .

No go away with your Alt BS kid because you look like an ignorant fool .

Well Aydin was undefeated before Guerrero, yet he's been **** the whole time, so records don't mean much if there's no good wins to back them up.

And who was this top 5 welter he beat? I don't think anyone had Berto ranked top 10 at the time. Sure he was top 5 before getting exposed by the quitter, and sitting out over a year with a PED suspension

            • lol, Floyd is remarkable in how he displays such intelligence in the ring, yet every single time he opens his mouth says something dumb as hell.

Floyd...if you're still fighting, then there will be more opponents for you. That's kinda the way it works!

And if you want to give the fans what they want to see...fight Canelo.

He holds a belt there and refuses to fight the best at 147. What do you expect?

I dont think Canelo is actually that good. He is big, strong and has power, but we saw he can be out boxed, doesnt throw enough, and Floyd is just too damn good.

I think there are no great challenges out there for Floyd. I still think he should fight an opponent we really arent sure he can beat. A fight with a "wow" factor. but who? I dont know.
