See how it is with Floyd???? He hates it when people wanna see him fight a particular fighter. Margarito back then, Cotto in '07, PAC and now it's Canelo. Yeah, he fought Cotto on '12 and it ended up being the hardest fight of his life. So forget Ginger, who does he wants to rake in $32 million fighting???? Khan???? Alexander???? Smh

Losing 2 or 3 rounds was the hardest fight of Floyd's life....damn....that's a huge compliment.

Well Floyd that is the idea if you want to be the best of all time. You fight the guys who are considered the very best available opponent. You win on saturday against guerrero was a very good win I admit, but was he the very very best oppenent available? For years now Floyd you have only fought hand picked oppenent as you are your own boss. In all honesty name me an oppenent who Floyd has fought where you can say the were the very very best available oppenent? He could have fought PAC? Which IMO he would have won but in my world I don't give credit for would have won anyways scenarios. Now Floyd is setting the tones for avoiding Canelo. Hand picking his oppenents is the very reason Floyd is not embraced like he could be. Well that and the woman beating. Come on Floyd stop hand picking and just fight the very very best. If you would just throw us hard core fans a bone and fight the very best available guy the we would give you passes and hand picking. Again name me someone who Floyd's fought where they were the very best guy available?

With Canelo being egotistical, as he's shown in the past, it might actually matter. Again, I think that's irrelevant, GBP DON'T WANT IT, I say that because Mayweather showed he has those legs, Oscar ain't ******. Put yourself in his position, would you honestly make that fight next? They're trying to build Canelo dude.

I don't think GB doesn't want it, but I think they sense that Floyd doesn't want it.
Why would they be afraid to have him in there with Floyd? Even if he takes a loss it still raises his profile and he is so young in a few years no one will remember the loss.
Plus, its not like Floyd is going to brutally knock the kid out or damage him.
Worst case for him Floyd UD's him, Canelo barely has a scratch on him and he moves on, builds himself up in a few years right to where he is now or better.
Best case he pulls the upset and becomes and ODL like star.

It's always "if I beat so and so" the media keeps creating new foes is because those foes are taking real fights, and getting beat by fighters other than Floyd because Floyd is too scared to fight them. Simple as that.

I think Larry Merchant basically sums it up, if there is any reasonable chance of Floyd losing than he is basically not getting in there. The exception to this rule IMO was De la Hoya, but he needed that fight to elevate his status and become a crossover star.

He has avoided lots of dangerous fighters when they were at they're most dangerous. I'm not sure if Canelo fits into that category, but its starting to feel like the same story all over again.

This is the side of him that I don't like as a boxing fan it is too frustrating. I think part of it is his dad has made him an insecure person from an early age, and even with all the bragging, and bravado, he doesn't actually realise how good he is, it's sad because he had the ability in my opinion to go down as THE best ever, but he will never fulfil it because of his lack of desire to chase the greatest challenges out there.

Why is there now another issue with Floyd fighting someone people want to see??? Cotto ain't scared of Canelo. He would sign up for that fight in a heart beat.

To be fair, if it happens at 154, wouldn't Canelo have the advantage over Floyd? Well, maybe it's ok if Canelo has the advantage, just not Floyd lol, but seriously, the fight needs to take place at 154, and even though I don't like it, Canelo will come in at 175. And then i'll wait for the excuses that you guy's come up with.

Mayweather should feel so lucky the public wants to see him fight foe after foe, it is the profession he picked for himself. What's he complaining about? Different foes demanded by fans brings in unprecedented wealth that has not been seen for sometime.

I've come to the conclusion that the only reason why these people continuously throw names out there for Floyd to fight is simply because they honestly don't think Floyd is as good as he is, and they think these guys can just walk through him lol. They really think Floyd is a B level fighter advertised to be the best. That's why they're so pissed, and that's why they watch all of his fights waiting and hoping that one day they can say "I told you so".

Not in my case, I think Floyd is a hall of famer. I just think he always picks the easier route. Since De La Hoya the only guy he fought which was at the top was Hatton. De La Hoya ok, i'll give him that although De La Hoya was past his prime. JMM, he came in heavy, paid the fine and "whopped" his ass. Mosley, was done long before then. Ortiz, well we know what happened there, and in any case it was Ortiz. Cotto, again waited too long. Guerrero, doesn't belong. If you can make an argument that there weren't better fights available at the time then make it. Hatton was the only one who was on top when they fought. All the others were picked for a reason. So, if he wants to be considered an ATG, fight the best. Believe me he has the ability to choose WHOEVER he wants. There is no logical reason why he can't fight the best if he wanted to. He's undefeated and generates the most money, why would anybody turn down an offer to fight him?
