Honestly man, if anyone said Mayweather's performance against Guerrero didn't shock them, in the sense of how well he moved they'd be lying. I've talked to a lot of Mayweather fans who didn't think Mayweather could still move like that, even the Youtube heads I'm subscribed to were surprised. It would hurt Canelo in the sense that he could quite possibly get dominated, and I've been vocal about liking Canelo's chances in the past, not so much anymore.

I'm not saying Canelo can win but if he brings the head movement he used in the Trout fight he can do much better then Guerrero who showed little head movement. The fight would not look like a land slide more like the Cotto fight or better.

Trout has never been the most accurate puncher, Canelo is still dangerous in the sense that he's a good counter puncher who can crack, just not as dangerous as I thought originally, Floyd moves too well.

Well Floyd that is the idea if you want to be the best of all time. You fight the guys who are considered the very best available opponent. You win on saturday against guerrero was a very good win I admit, but was he the very very best oppenent available? For years now Floyd you have only fought hand picked oppenent as you are your own boss. In all honesty name me an oppenent who Floyd has fought where you can say the were the very very best available oppenent? He could have fought PAC? Which IMO he would have won but in my world I don't give credit for would have won anyways scenarios. Now Floyd is setting the tones for avoiding Canelo. Hand picking his oppenents is the very reason Floyd is not embraced like he could be. Well that and the woman beating. Come on Floyd stop hand picking and just fight the very very best. The Mayweather-Pacquiao stuff is old. I don't think he should speak his name when it comes to losing because it wasn't him who beat him. If Mayweather loses you won't hear Pacquiao going on about how Floyd lost.

My issue is with the idea that fans shouldn't come up with new opponents. What does Floyd want, the right to cherrypick his own opponents without criticism? Boxing doesn't work like that.

People want competitive fights, so they're going to choose opponents with the best chance of delivering competition. That's why boxing has been so good in the last couple of months and will be again after this fight with the likes of Matthysse-Peterson and Froch-Kessler etc.

That's what he does. He waits for a guy to lose and then he doesn't have to fight them. It's ****** cuz he's good enough to beat all of them. I don't get it.

The reason why fans want to see it in the first place is because Canelo is a 154lb fighter and Floyd has a 154lb belt. That's the only real element of danger imo, the weight disparity.

He might as well fight 140/147lbers then, fuck the Canelo fight.

I couldn't agree with you more. He's begging for a fight with Floyd so why can't he come to that weight? I believe if any fighter calls out another they should be prepared to move to that fighters division. Forget a catch weight. What people don't give Floyd credit for is his toughest fights were all fights he moved up to that persons weight class Castillo, De La Hoya, and Cotto and never asked for a catch weight like some of these other so called champions.
