Povetkin, Fury and Wilder and then retire. Who else is there really? Price seems like a really RAW version of Klitschko. He has the physical gifts but his skills aren't even comparable.

I agree, Floyd spends most of his time trying to justify why some fights werent made and that it was everyones fault but his, to actually fight anyone, so Wlad is a better champion for actually fighting, rather than making excuses as to why he dont fight.

But Floyd is a charity case and if he dont perform everyone will be pitying Floyd, please excuse Floyds poor performance as he is 36 years old you know and has had a year layoff.

Yup, won't be fighting past his forties. Maybe he could have one final farewell fight in the year of 2016, but that's as long as I expect him to go.

It all depends on how his health and skillset hold on. If it starts to slide soon, then he will retire before losing a fight on it.

        IMO, he retires in 2015.

2 more this year against Povetkin, Pulev/Fury/Solis/Adamek.
        3 more next year against Jennings/S. Mitchel, Wilder/Price/Fury/Haye, Helenius/Boytsov/Ortiz;
        2 more in 2015 against Towers/Spilka/Mago, Medzidov/Camarelle/D. White

unlike floyd wladimir got KTFO by average fighters. but its heavyweight so its understandable.

Wlad could've been on HBO as the opening fight for floyd this past weekend. Floyd goes to showtime and HBO doesn't show his fight.

          WHat a great champion.

Wladimir's fight was shown in more countries around the world than Mayweather's fight.

More than ten times as many people watched Wlad's fight as Floyd's.

HBO is biased against the Klitschkos because (like you) the decision-makers at HBO (like Kery Davis) feel the heavyweight champion of the world should be an African-American.

Wlad's fights usually end in exciting KOs, while Floyd runs and pot-shots to win boring decisions (unless he gets the opportunity for a sucker punch).

i'm not under the impression Haye would win a rematch. I have stated many times that Wlad's style is all wrong for Haye, including before they fought. Vitali's more static style suits Haye a lot better and that was always the fight he should have taken. Wlad is faster than people think, incl Haye.

That being said, there's a chance of an upset and it's certainly more than the 2% Simurgh is giving it.

I don't think that was Haye at his worse at all. He was better than in Valuev fight, I haven't seen much in Audley fight, Ruiz and Chisorra were good but those are small men comparing to Wlad.
Haye was much faster actually and he fought a smart fight to be honest. If he pressured it more I really think he would be KOed. If the one that Wlad landed in 6th round was just a bit more clear Haye could have finished as Chambers.

So unless Haye fights taller fighter (Tyson, Helenius - not that they are nowhere near Wlad's level) and shows that he can be as effective as against come forward smaller fighters I can't assume he possess something special to threat Wlad...

As for Wach I don't think Wlad was that hurt. His reaction was just very good, not to engage till he is all recovered. He took big punches earlier as well (Chagaev, Thomspon...) And Wlad against Wach was very relaxed not worrying too much - keeping his hands down. Be sure it won't be same against Haye if the rematch ever happens.

I don't know if you watched Wlad-Pianetta on SKY, Haye was commenting. Haye himself described why it's so hard to beat Wlad. He sounded pretty much like admitting he doesn't have much chance.
I really don't see him being able to hit Wlad before being hit and no way he won't be outboxed. We are speaking about huge, fast, powerful, skilful, master of defense Wlad. That leaves those 2-3% - punchers chance - Haye has enough power to KO anyone including ATG HWs, I just don't think he would be anywhere close to be able to land clean.
Yes, that was pretty much Haye at his worst. Haye was far more confident in any of the fights you mentioned, he moved better (not in the Ruiz fight when he was slightly out of shape coming in at 222 pounds or something crazy like that).

Haye has proven himself against many tall fighters in the past. Valuev, Gurov, Audley to name a few - the thing is, neither of those three or anyone else for that matter has the skillset that Wlad possesses. So he could KO all the tall guys in the division within 3 rounds, it still wouldn't help him against Wlad.

What he should do, is be willing to take more risks. Land that left jab and rough Wlad up. If he holds, he gives him a rabbit punch or a punch to the ribs or try an uppercut.

He should focus a lot more on his inside game, because when you get on Wlad's chest, you will take away his best weapon - the jab. Landing short right hands to Wlad's chin would really test him and Haye is probably the best finisher in the division, once he has someone hurt.

For the record, I don't see how you can say Wlad was close to KOing Haye, when he wasn't even slightly hurt in the fight. Wlad, however, did buckle 2 inches (you could see he was the same height as Haye) in that 3rd round. Following up with aggression would be key here, because Wlad doesn't fight out of trouble. He holds and clinches and leans.

Of course he's not a PPV fighter - put him on PPV and see who gets most views.

to that second thing in bold. They gave Wlad a shot numerous times. Unfortunately he chose to stink the place out.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've read here on NSB. You really think HBO doesn't put him on because he's not black. If he got ratings or sold ppv's he'd be on. Geez Freedom. You and I know he stunk it up vs Haye.

Face it dude until wlad makes it in the mecca of boxing he's really not that important. His value to HBO was as a marketing tool for floyd's ppv.

You dont know how many people watched his fight. If its on free TV in europe great for wlad.

Maybe the Povetkin fight will be on HBO because its a decent matchup. The wilder fight or mitchell fights will be on HBO and fans will almost surely see wlad KTFO of both which should create interest in him.

8.3 million in Germany on RTL, close to 9 million in Ukraine on INTER, many millions in other countries.

Why does HBO show Seth Mitchell's fights?

They were going to have Mitchell-Banks II on HBO. It would be like HBO showing Andrew Wawrzyk's next fight after he gets KOed by Povetkin or Francesco Pianeta's next fight.

Russia 2, the UK's BoxNation, and Poland's PolSat show a lot of the world title fights in the USA.

DOn't know. They find his fights appeal to the viewer and they are good fights before the main since he usually gets a KO. Thats part of the reason why I guess they were giving wlad the pre floyd slot.

Wlad's last chance on HBO was terrible. Yes Haye fought cowardly but wlad wasn't much better. Its hard to blame HBO for not putting him on again unless they know he gets a KO.
