I kind of agree - but I just feel Arreola is a good match up, because he will take the fight to Wlad and put him under pressure; something Wlad doesn't like. Chisora is actually a good opponent for the same reason. Pressure fighters is what Wlad has some trouble with, as we know.

You can't really blame Wlad for the opponents available. Everybody would love to see him fight the past great's, but it's not reality.

Chisora vs Arreola wouldn't be a bad fight and would eliminate one guy from the race. They do pressure and might make Wlad uncomfortable, but I don't think it's enough to beat him. If Arreola ever comes into a fight in good shape, then maybe he can press Wlad and make him work. But I doubt he ever will.

Wlad Can pretty much go on for as long as he wants to. I really could see him fight 10-15 more times. Of course not all against top comp, but half. My guess is he'll fight povetkin in the summer, then Chisora. There's some unfinished business there. Fury, Pulev, Scott, Jennings, Haye II are also on the horizon. Rest will probably be fringe contenders, which is fair enough.

I call myself a former fan of Arreola by now. I was really disappointed that he showed up as a fat pig again vs Stiverne. He's a disgrace to the sport, but hell, he's still entertainment and would add well to Wlad's resume. I doubt he will get back in the mix though; seems Arreola is content with being a fat journeyman earning cash for his burrito and corona intake.

Do you think Haye has a good chance in a rematch, given Haye is still in his prime and Wlad might slow down one step? He's pretty much the only real threat IMO.

If Wlad could KO Haye, it would enhance his legacy considerably.
I watched Wlad-Pianetta on SKY UK and Haye was commenting prior and after the fight.

He talked about his fight with Wlad. I am telling you that he doesn't believe he would have much of a chance with present Wlad. There is absolutely nothing Haye can do to threat Wlad if Wlad chooses not to risk.

Haye is the one who would need to take a risk. So only way how Haye can win is to KO wlad.
To do that he would need to go through jab, go through right hand and left hook, then when he comes inside he would need to find Wlad. Wlad dodges punches extremely well (it was obvious in Pianetta fight as well, Wlad didn't use his guard at all, he was dodging). Then he would need to connect with a few (he isn't going to KO wlad with a single punch). Wlad is much stronger physically, so even when Haye is inside Wlad can clinch and that would take a lot of energy from Haye.

I just don't see it. Much better fighters than Haye wouldn't be able to do that.
But as this is boxing, Haye will always have a punchers chance. Only that's like 2-3%...

Actually Haye was in a quite admiration of Wlad's skills.

                    Great post.

Haye connected Wlad a couple times in their first outing, but Wlad's chin is not all that weak as many pretend it to be (also seen in the first Peter fight). After all, his brother is iron chinned.

Haye has a small chance, but it calls for Haye being more aggressive, and he was never the most ballsy fighter. I just want to see Wlad knock out Haye, it's very, very high on my wish list.

I'd like to see him fight over the next three years:

                      Povetkin
                      Pulev
                      Helenius

                      Arreola
                      Stiverne
                      Haye II

Your thoughts on what Wlad will do?
Wilder is never fighting a live body. Don't put him in the list.
