The only one, due to the fight being cut short and people feeling they got ripped off for the PPV. HBO are greedy mutha****as.

It's a good business decision but it's hard to tell how good they really are cus they refuse to fight the best on even terms.

How will floyd be at his best going againt a guy that out ways him 17 plus pounds on fight night if he fight at 154 floyd the p4p king if canelo really wanted come down to get it he have youth on his side fight night he still will weigh every bit of 160
didn't baldomir have 16 pounds on Floyd?

Cotto is still the 3rd biggest name in the sport. Canelo is closing hard. Cotto is not shot like some say. He's not prime Cotto but he still held his own against both Floyd & Trout. A win over Cotto in devastating fashion is huge. Canelo's name is just now getting out there in the US mainsteam. The mainstream also wants another rival for Floyd.

Canelo beats Cotto and the whole mainsrteam will be telling Floyd to fight Canelo or he's a duck. They will put massive pressure on him. Even the one's who didnt fully blame him for Pac will start to say "this is 2 times now". The fight & pressure on Floyd will be much bigger in May

and what if for one night, Cotto turns back the clock and outboxes Canelo?

there goes your effing super fight...then we'll get Floyd-Alexander

i'm ****ing tired of boxing shooting itself in the foot...there is ALREADY a demand for this fight RIGHT NOW....why do fight fans justify delaying fights that people want to see?
because Floyd stans don't want to see Floyd threatened. after trout beat Cotto, "canelo and trout need to fight, winner gets Floyd". canelo wins..."Saul needs to fight Cotto"

                • *sigh* All fighters in this era is easy work for Floyd Mayweather especially from what was witness on the 4th of May 2013.. let the fighter be more aggressive and not gun shy like Guerrero and a knockout will be produced.

wait... HBO was greedy because the fight was "cut short?" why is that their fault? why is that any different than if someone got knocked out in 10 seconds?

                    • I am convinced that Mayweather/Alvarez will take place at 154 in September. If there is weight issue, I would bet that Mayweather is asking for a rehydration clause that would prevent Alvarez from ballooning up to 170 pounds overnight and Alvarez is refusing to agree to the rehydration clause.

In spite of what the idiots on this message board claim or think, Mayweather is not difficult to negotiate with. He was willing to meet all of Pacquaio's demands and was even willing to compromise on the drug testing, but Pac had to have things his way and walked away from what would have been three times as much money as he has ever made in fight.

If Alvarez allows his ego to get in the way and makes unreasonable demands in terms of weight or money, the fight will not take place in September. Alvarez will lose one of his next two fights after fighting for one-third of the money he would have gotten for fighting Mayweather. He will then beg Mayweather for a fight just like Mosley did after turning the fight down three different times and just as Pacquaio has been doing for the last three years.
