GBP and Showtime saying that Cherrypicker did over 1 million buys against Guerrero... so I don't think Cherrypicker feels like he needs the ginger... if the buys were less than 900k.... but Showtime needed 1.2 mil buys to break even so...

That's cause he'll be forced to fight him, by SHO/GBP/Haymon, if there's any way, contractually.

I hope there is but there probably isn't.

Else this deal is a distaster for all, the money's gonna dry up for everyone else.

May fought Cotto and DLH @154 because he said he likes fighting fighters at their best but he will not fight Canelo @154. I also don't think Marquez was @ his best when Mayweather fought him. IMO Mayweather is a great fighter but the only reason he's undefeated is because he doesn't take any risks. If you fight the best on even terms you will eventually loose.

Worst kept secret that Floyd is adverse to taking risks. His risks are what we in the business call calculated risks and a lot of thought is gone into it, when in the mind of the fighter ie Floyd its not too much of a risk.

Back in 2009, Mayweather said Pacquiao will be easy work (first time using that phrase) and looking at him now, you just have to agree with that statement. He did this interview with the British press two months after his neutralizing performance against Marquez. This also before Pacquiao and Mayweather even started any negotiations to fight.. This is back in 2009. Everything Floyd says is the truth..

i think its a joke if that fight gets made any time soon.

if khan can get some decent wins under his belt first then fair play, but the thing is, khan is an accident waiting to happen every time he gets in the ring!

but then again, it goes to show that the options mayweather has to choose from are running thin. he has to move up a weight if he wants better names on his resume other than fighting pacman.

what a waste of Cherrypicker's last couple of fights

you can make floyd look like a Monster in this fight. I'd take the fight and end that **** in 2 minutes if I were him.

While his options are running thin, there are at least 10 other fighters currently that deserve a fight with Floyd over Amir, if this fight gets made its pushing Baldomir territory of cherry picking
