I was thinking the same thing. Typical MMA passive aggressive rule situation: "We are real combat and allow knee strikes, except anywhere that they may cause the person to not be able to grapple in a real combat situation.

I'm putting things in perspective, as someone who is knowledgeable about MMA. This was just a spectacle. It doesn't bother me or anything. But I also want people to take it for what it was, and not overblow it.You have said "I don't care" like three times yet you keep posting replies. Anyway, I personally did not see the fight from that camera angle I did not see a spine blow but it could have been. He will do nothing of note in MMA BUT you have to give props for winning a fight in MMA that he has never fought in. He doesn't care about proper training that is why he was 20 lbs over weight. He hasn't cared about training correctly in a long time.Comment

It's not knees which are illegal, it is direct attacks to the spine.Comment
