Not true. You think Guerrero vs Malignaggi/Cano or Alexander are good/great fights? Okay, whatever makes you happy.
If Alexander fought Guerrero, it's a legit fight. If Pacquiao did, it's a legit fight. If Marquez did, it's legit. If Brook did, it's legit. Even if Paulie did, it's a legit fight. If Lucas, Garcia, Rios, Alvarado, Peterson did, it's a legit fight.
Mexican superstar Canelo would have been a more lucrative fight on May 4. Instead, Money Mayweather picked Guerrero who has three fans. Floyd needs to stop calling himself Money.
canelo needed a trout win for that fight to have made sense get real
Im not really all too concerned about who Floyd fights anymore. But, what does concern me a little is his last two picks have been against guys who, in there last fight or two, had either fight of the year type bouts or it was a high contact fight. Seeing those fights, I dont think anyone really thought or thinks that Ortiz and Guererro will be hard to land punches on. The fight before that was againsy a pretty good foe in Cotto, but many wondered what Miguel really had left after taking beatings from Margarito and Manny. And he didn't look good against Foreman, and I think Margarito was on his way to stopping him in the rematch. This and Martinez was practically begging to meet Floyd as low as 150.
Floyd has the best technical skills of any of his contemporaries and is one of the most technically sound fighters of all time if not the most. But, if he wants to be credited with being the greatest he will have to walk the same path of the greats before him and take the risky fights. 147 is a very safe place for him and we have seen that he can comfortably make 154. There is a division above him with young risky talent waiting to be conquered.
Martinez has expressed interest in making a fight with Floyd happen but it was always when both fighters are already signed to a fight. Also Martinez was barely making 154 and moved up to 160 around which time he started claiming he wanted to fight Mayweather while his stock was raising along with Paul Williams. Martinez was #3 P4P for me and I think he is probably the only dude that Floyd will have a fight on his hands with but I also don't see his skill even in Floyd league just his speed and will but he also never fought an adjuster/ tactician such as Floyd at all. Martinez claiming he will go to 150 was trying to use that to promote his scheduled fight at the time.
There is no one at 154 and Floyd never made the weight comfortably he always weigh in at 150, and most recently he was 151, not a lot of weight which means anyone he fights at that weight will have significant pounds over him. He can only subjugate those advantages with his skill where there is not anyone there with viable enough skill to deal with him. Canelo is absolutely over-rated, he decision over Trout was gift-wrapped and Trout was given the courtesy to know his was being ****ed by the judges throughout the fight. Canelo was able to not do **** but sluggishly move and not throw and try to impress with his abysmal head movement and defense. Canelo stamina was exposed in the fight as well as he barely did anything and charges up to fight in spurts where his only significant shot was that straight right he landed on a desperate man who knew he was being robbed on the cards. but whatever.. y'all blind doe.
LOOL so Guerrero is a better opponent than a prime Pacquiao!
Now i've heard it all from Floyd cheerleaders
To be honest Guerrero will beat the **** out of Pacquiao in any form.. He adjusts and can fight in any range unlike the mid range fighter known as Pacquiao. Pacquiao only can beat boxer punchers such as himself (Morales, Barrera, Cotto, etc.) while Guerrero can fight in the inside while clinching and boxer from the outside. Pacquiao can not fight in the inside and do not know how to work off angles and can only fight explosively and because he is a southpaw which was once a rarity in boxing around the time he was hot, which gave him the cushion to get away with his one sided attack because most boxers are only use to seeing the orthodox stance. Guerrero is a much better opponent than Pacquiao as he adjusts and he is a southpaw.. Calling me a cheerleader of Floyd because I understand the parameters of the fighters abilities in comparison of each other is ok but I will be fair in my assessment of you. Due to you inability to render my arguments useless and your constant attempt to put Pacquiao on a pedestal you are absolutely a Pacboy ****-eater.

Guerrero couldn't beat the **** out of 150lb fight night, 64 inch reach welter bum Aydin who got outclassed by Karass.

If Floyd does.....cherry pick!!!
Any of those guys the #1 rated SWW champ? Besides, if he fought 2-3 of these a year, it'd be less of an issue, but you only get a non tuneup from him every couple of years.
It called by some not I, a cherry pick because Floyd is the bigger guy, better skilled fighter. He fought at 154 and has not faced any prime 154 pounders. He rather drop weight and fight the smaller man in Guerrero but i hope it back fires on Floyd. I do agree its not a cherry pick Guerreo is the real deal Floyd just has all the advantages going in but Guerrero going to pull the upset (i believe).

All those fighters you mentioned are smaller than Floyd.
You really belive Floyd never walks around over 160 pounds. You lieing to yourself. Why do you think he stays in shape? Same reason Hopkins became a vegitarion at middleweight to stay at that weight. Floyd is a boxer 24/7 how it should be, boxers don't have a time off. So put that in perspective when his opponets may take a month off and gain some extra weight, Floyd would put on the same pounds as other fighters if not for his dedication to stay close to his weight class.
Floyd is the fighter who has fought at the bigger weight and has fought the bigger fighters. Coming back down to fight a welterweight is a big difference than having to fight a jr. middleweight.
