Not sure if you're familiar with the term mandatory, but Guerrero is Floyd's mandatory challenger. Not to mention Guerrero is a 4 division 6 time world champ. That is the reason for the fight. It is far from a cherrypick. Having said that, I still don't beleive Robert has a chance at beating Floyd, but who does at 147? If you know of a 147lb fighter who you believe is more deserving of a Floyd fight please feel free to voice how that may be. But if not then why so much hate for this fight?
Not sure if you're familiar with the term interim belt, but it's not a real belt at all. Guerrero has "legit" belts in 2 weight classes, and I bet you couldn't name his opponents for those belts, without going to boxrec. And even then, you'll be embarrassed to copy the names from boxrec into a post
guerrero is trash thats why, the problem is the rankings are a joke, those with media exposure like khan can be ranked the number 2
what has guerrero done? beat berto who a fringe contender? there would be quite a few ww who and light welters who would destroy guerrero
lets not mix up the point, this is floyd
he has been doing this forever, since ducking kostya at 140 to fake retiring to duck a prime cotto, margo, williams and then came back to duck the best out there in pacman
now he has a 154 belt and will avoid canelo
floyds resume is a woeful, is really is bad, when he retired he will be considered someone who avoided the best and picked easy win matches that suit his style
the same people somehow justify with more bs that floyd has not ducked the best since 140
these same people will make some lame ass excuse for him to not fight guys like williams, cotto or margo saying they were not draws but then say he fought the best when he fought a crappy ortiz and guerrero who cannot sell out an arena lol
these same guys justified him ducking pac and changing the contract everytime he agreed to what he said lol
It is no question that Floyd is a great fighter, but would these fighters really want to see FLOYD if he was a low pay high risk draw??
Is it the money that they seek or a true challenge??
I ask this because while Floyd has a tremendous hate fanbase, one can not help but notice that many seem to wish to fight him for the money...
Also if your only loss is to Floyd, does it really matter seeing as though many fans hate him, if you lose to Floyd your career is still salvageable.... Guerrero can still be a threat after or if he loses to Floyd after the SHOWTIME DEAL EXPIRES.....
It seems that good boxers are not calling him out...
Marquez doesnt want it again as he has basically stated as such.
Bradley doesnt want a fight, but I am sure he would take it
But would he if money wasnt involved??
Hes in a safe position even though I feel he received a gift against Pac.
Shane never wanted the fight until after his wife cleaned him out of money.
The question still stands..... would you in your career fight Floyd with his skill level for say 350k??? Its almost a guaranteed 0 on your resume.
Pac and Canelo talk alot behind the scenes off camera, but after the fight they kinda freeze up...
Pac it depends on my promoter to the detriment of his fans seeing that they feel pac calls the shots etc.
Canelo after the trout fight didnt seem to hungry for a showdown when millions were watching. Keep in mind we are the minority when it comes to reading and digesting every article regarding the boxing world. The majority of fans see it after the fight in interviews.
It simply seems as if the haters and I use that term loosely have more confidence in canelo than Canelo himself.
It seems as if people forget arum saying Floyd would fight Margs, but he wanted guarantees for other fights, also consider how at this time Arum had told the world that Floyd was better than ALI and everyone before him....
Floyd went on to do the highest grossing fight of all time with delahoya, and even the golden boy himself had never came close to those sales, so Floyd has a have a great impact as well...
Are we to believe that Floyd was a greater visionary than arum, or was Arum trying to rob Floyd???
It hardly seems a man of arums vision and understanding could misjudge an oscar fight so badly....
or was he bitter at Delahoya as well for leaving??
So the question stands, who would want to see Floyd if he wasnt offerring paydays and was a high risk low reward fighter???
Are we really to believe that everyone would want to fight him????
your thoughts please..
And if this post pisses you off, be mature and stick to the topic, its not a pac, bradley or anyone bashing thread....

Its a legit question.
You're making no sense. Most of the guys 140-160 would cut off their pinky toe to get a fight with Floyd. Canelo wouldn't, cause he thinks he's the boss, but if you think it's Canelo that's ducking Floyd, then lol at you

No they would because of the payday.... You see you are exactly whats wrong with boxing. Canelo just won his first meaningful fight at 154 and here you come with the duckin stuff already!!!! Had canelo been fighting Floyd you would be screaming Canelo been fighting smaller guys etc........ Its a cherry pick
The question is quite simple.... Who wants to be outpointed and made to look like an amateur for a small payday. If you lose to Floyd its not the end of your career actually as everyone expects him to beat you... I mean a bloody nose from cotto somehow equaled Floyd got whooped.... Or hes lost it while a busted ear drum on pac and gauze around his head at a catchweight was barely mentioned....

Ok so if Floyd brought no money, he'd be avoided, but he does so he's not. What's your point again?
A better question is, why isn't he going after a pretty green, yet hugely marketable Canelo in favor of much less marketable zero threats like Guerrero, Alexander, or marketable but hugely flawed, zero threat Khan?
