I favor Garcia. He is 2" taller, has a slightly shorter reach than Matthysse but he can connect and has emphasis on his punches. I think Matthysse being the slightly smaller fighter will play a big factor. Interested in seeing Peterson/Matthysse because that fight should tell a lot about Lucas Matthysse because power is not a factor when fighting Peterson because he gets back up and pressures.

I really don't think that Lucas is running away with the Peterson fight like most ppl think here. Peterson is hated cause his win against Khan and his PED allegation.

But fact is that he has matured like a fighter and does a lot more things than a few years ago and also he is tough as nails. I wouldn't be surprised if he beat Lucas

Zab did his thing but it was inevitable. Garcia is an interesting boxer. He's obviously limited but always finds a way to win. He's smart with his punching angles and focused in his game plan. He has a great chin and very good power. I'm still not sold on him but I think he will have some success. He's certainly better than a lot of the hype jobs we've seen recently.

Big ups to Judah and Brooklyn. I hated Judah leading up to the fight due to all that banter, but he showed that he has heart and really fought like the former champion that he is in the last few rounds. Respect.

I think Garcia needs to work on his game. His right hand looked good though and I don't think anyone can argue that he is just a "left hooker." I've said it before, this kid has got pop in both hands. He's smart and disciplined. If he brushes up on his technique and foot work and keeps his stamina up, he can go farther still.

Garcia does have Khan, who I have never denied is a better singular win than any Matthysse has.

Matthysse's wins over Alexander, Ajose, and Soto are all better than any other win Garcia has. This is my problem with the people hyping Garcia. He does not have better wins, he has one win that's better than Matthysse's. One. You can't legitimately tell me Matthysse is hype but Garcia isn't without bias.

Matthysse has taken advantage of his opportunities. He beat Alexander. He beat the crap out of Soto and Ajose. Most think he beat Judah. Not his fault he was screwed.

I think both have comparable resumes,with the difference being Garcia is undefeated while Matt's has two loses..I'm not one who holds loses against a fighter..But when comparing the two I would have too..

Garcia not only has the better W on his resume,but against a common opponent,he had the better fight..Won more convincingly as well..

The first highlighted line is double talk. Doesn't make sense. Whether you feel Matthysse beat better fighters than Garcia is your opinion but the fact he didn't KO guys like Judah and Alexander but he did the rest shows that there is a certain level of fighter he has problems with getting out of there. Garcia is solid and take a punch, recuperate and still win through adversity.

Robberies should not be held against a fighter but unfortunately we live in the real world and it is what it is. That's why Marquez went after Pacquiao even though he knew he won in his heart but he needed to show he was better. I'm not trying to discredit Matthysse because I think he is solid but he is not as dangerous as people make him out to be and that's my opinion like yours about Garcia. I don't get mad about yours so why you get bent out of shape about mine? Garcia would thump Matthysse. Would be a great fight but Garcia takes it. I actually think Matthysse won't make it past Peterson.

What a fight these two fighters gave us last night. I give a lot of props to Zab super Judah the guy gave his all last night. He left everything in the ring with no regrets.

Garcia is one tough fighter that had to dig deep to win last night. I hope Garcia fights the winner of Peterson vs Matts winner. I hope Matts beats Peterson tbh I want to see Matts vs Garcia.

I think Garcia beats Matthysse if they fight. I said this a while back and I still think Garcia's got the goods to beat Matthysse.
