Kessler can jab the bout away from Lacy, but Lacy may well show his mettle.
I was thinking the same about Calzaghe sticking around to trade too much. Kessler's long straight shot is what it will take to beat a hooker like Lacy or even Calzaghe for that matter. Like you said earlier though, Calzaghe can be pretty cagy, jumping in with his hooks when you least expect it and then getting out with his legs. Lacy's got one gameplan and that's that. Calzaghe despite all the factors against him should be able to make a good showing.

I hope Kessler vs Lacy can happen but Lacy has a very tough fight against Calazghe first and there is a very good chance he get beat

A Calzaghe victory doesn't mean that Lacy can't fight Kessler though. After all Calzaghe wll be moving up and will leave some vacant belts lying around and Lacy may well pick one up and its not like Lacy just lost to a bum. It would be an interesting match-up anyhow.

I used to doubt Hatton until the Tszyu fight. When I saw that he could take a lick then I knew he was for real. People on these forums talk like Mayweather is untouchable. I don't see Hatton stopping at pitty-pats, he walked through several train crash right hands from Tszyu and just put in his body work like he never got hit. Floyd can't keep a guy like Hatton off of him and he's the worst nightmare for Floyd's handlers since they know a guy like Hatton is who Floyd will hurt his hands on. PBF can maybe outbox the Golden Johnson's of the world with one hand but he'll get knocked out by Hatton if he's left one-handed late.

Rumor, Lucien Bute and Kessler would meet each other before the end of 2006? I don't think Bute is ready for Kessler yet

I would like to see Kessler be able to face them both, but like you said Calzaghe is likely to move up to light heavy. I fear for him there though where he will be at quite a reach disadvantage against most opponents.

One thing i would love to see, before he takes to the states, would be a fight against Beyer.. Not that it would have the same potential as Lacy / Calzaghe, i would just be nice to see the german get beat up.
My biggest fear would be, if Beyer retires as another useless hero as Sven Ottke.

Winner Lacy / Calzaghe, against the winner Beyer / Kessler.. could be great fun!! and very unlikely.

Does the germans fighters have any fans on the outside? - anybody??

I doubt it. My fear is that Beyer will be given a final fight against someone like Mario Veit and basically hand his belt on.

I don't think that you will find many american fans of beyer. I heard many people in the US touting Dariusz as the man to beat Jones though. So german fighters aren't necessarily hated here, but the beyers and ottkes of the world don't help what we think of them.
