I saw that on *********. I'm on the Kessler bandwagon I think. It pisses me off that American TV hasn't shown me this guy. If and when he does get Lacy, he'll seem like a Baldomir or a Danny Williams to the crowds here. They'll say Lacy didn't train or have some other weak excuse why he lost to a nobody while all the while there is a great fighter over there getting no US media attention.

Thanks again for recommending some fights, Beowulf. D/Ling Kessler vs Mundine now. From the comments, sounds like a good fight. I can't wait to watch it.

Its an example of Kessler going overseas to fight a "hometown" challenger. Shows he isn't afraid to travel. Reasonably competitive as well.

Both ShowTime and HBO was at ringside willing to offer Kessler a US contract.

          Lacy is next.

I'd love to see it. But that is assuming that Lacy gets past Calzaghe. Kessler needs to be on Showtime or HBO. He looks like the next big thing at 168. Someone is going to expose Lacy though, whether it is Calzaghe or Kessler or some guy we would never think, some Buster Douglas somewhere who can avoid those wild haymakers for a few rounds and let the steam roll out of him because I'm convinced that Lacy can't 'box' and that he probably will have stamina problems in a long fight.

But it seems that Kessler and Team Palle is gonna make a lot of noise stateside in the coming months. Even roumors of a HBO contract. I think it is easy to build up Kessler reputation in the American public. Hes got the starquality and looks needed to make the american dream. Lacy cant avoid him as none of the other socalled worldchamps. If you want to consider yourself the real King of smw you need to face Kessler

Lacy's muscles do look like they're "for show" a bit so you may well be right, though he is a formidable fighter and can only improve.

Calzaghe may well have the nous, though he may try and trade too much.

Kessler can jab the bout away from Lacy, but Lacy may well show his mettle.

I've got to agree. I'm american and have seen the guy once and noticed his potential immediately. The fight with Lucas maybe should've been staged in the US though, since many US fans know Lucas pretty well. It's hard to find another well known opponent to US fans besides the likes of Lacy or Calzaghe or some washed up middle weight campaigning at 168 now.

Kessler is quite a tall guy for his weight, he´s 185cm tall, and the reach is the same. his jab works, and he´s good at keeping his cool.
I think he has a very fair chance against everyone you could trow at him.
His style just makes his opponents look bad, Lucas said after the fight: Its very frustrating to fight a guy like that, his jab is in your face all the time, and he´s gone when you try to retaliate.
                    Same thing with Siaca.

Yes - a good fighter sure gives you a "Bad day".

By the way, he will be in Atlantic City from saturday, trying to get some media attention.. Let us know if they find him..

I'd say that Kessler is the second most marketable European fighter around at the moment, after Hatton. Both have appealing styles.
