Have you seen many of Kessler other fights, Beowulf? If so, can you maybe think of any good ones for me to pick up? I plan on browsing for *******s a little later and I'd like to find a few more fights of his if I can.Comment

There were some links I had, but they've expired. *******s are your best bet for sure. The Siaca, Julio Cesar Green and Mundine fights are some good fights to download.Comment

Thanks. I just got to point out that I know all of those opponents and yet have never seen Kessler, not even just a screenshot of him on US television. This weekend was dead for US boxing so I took a chance and d/led the Kessler vs Lucas fight. I was at first only interested because I noticed Kessler was a beltholder and knew that Calzaghe/Lacy is on the horizon. I think I may have stumbled upon the division's next unified champ.Originally posted by BeowulfThere were some links I had, but they've expired. *******s are your best bet for sure. Kessler may well be the next unified champ, he probably won't be undisputed because the Germans nicked the WBC and won't give it back.
Kessler won't fight Calzaghe as Calzaghe will most likely move to Light Heavyweight after the Lacy fight. Kessler vs Lacy would be explosive. In fact the Super Middleweight division is rather talented at the moment with fighters like Froch and Bute on the up.Comment

We yanks might ***** about the lot of european fighters for taking a title home and not letting it see light again, but the Germans truly are the best at thatOriginally posted by BeowulfKessler may well be the next unified champ, he probably won't be undisputed because the Germans nicked the WBC and won't give it back.

. I assume you are talking about Beyer? And that's probably on the money.

Yep, Beyer is the guy i'm referring to, you have to knock him out to take the title (though he did get outpointed in one of his title deafeats in Germany, he must have been dominated), and even then he'll probably fluke it back somehow (he is a 3 time WBC champion after all, that title is like a boomerang).Comment

I'd like to see what the Germans are paying in sanctioning fees. Money is what will keep a title anywhere. I'm a critic of Lacy's but I've got to give him credit where it's due: he has the balls to go to the UK and fight Calzaghe and I'm sure that he understands just like the WBC does, obviously, that they sell a lot of tickets in Europe. Fighters here think that the only money is in Atlantic City or Vegas while guys like Hatton are making a fortune over there. The only fighter I will defend for not going overseas is RJJ and that's because I understand that the Korean olympics debacle factors big psychologically there, I can't blame him, I would refuse to leave the states as well, if it happened to me. In Floyd's case as far as Hatton is concerned they would both make a fortune if they fought at the MEN.Comment

There definately is a lot of money at higher levels in England and Germany (though not really anywhere else in Europe, apart from in exceptional circumstances). I think its good Hatton going over to the states to fight as it'll convince the doubters.
In Germany they show big boxing matches in millions of homes, so they can't really let their big stars lose as that'd dent their money making, hence Ottke's gifts.
I can see why Jones Jr didn't want to go overseas, but the amateurs and the pros are completely different, with his skills you couldn't really rob him. Jones may well be forced to fight abroad if he is still serious about fighting at Light heavy, as all the big title holders are European, and he may still think he has what it takes to get an alphabet belt after failing against the real Champion.Comment
