See, it actually works the other way. We ask these questions about Trout.

Was his ineffective offense so much more active than Canelo's, that he should be awarded the victory and the knockdown, the clear-to-the-eye, bob & weave defense, knockdown, clean punches all should be ignored.

And the answer is No. If he was gonna win based on being the more active fighter, he should have been twice as active to get the nod.

Yes, he did hurt him. But of course you had to cherry pick and add an additional stipulation like the one below, which I'm about to respond to.

This is reverse logic. It's actually the opposite. Did Trout do enough in terms of activity to offset all the Ring Generalship, from defense and making Trout miss to offense that put him on his ass and was landed much cleaner.

      And the answer is no.
Trout out worked him the whole fight, and Canelo didn't land enough big shots throughout the course of most of the rounds, to really change the round.

Trout brought the fight the whole time and kept the fight at his distance most of the entire fight. Canelo literally did nothing for 80% of the fight.

Did he hurt Trout and land so many more harder punches that it negates Trout throwing more the whole fight?

        What won him the rounds???
He fought in Texas and that is the only thing he had to do !!!!
        Trout 8

The texas judges won him the fight. This fight was no different from Donaire vs Rigo...Donaire landing the big power shots..CANELO....Rigo out boxing which was TROUT..you even had the 1 knockdown.

In the end obviously jabs don't count in texas.

I think Canelo landed the harder punches throughout the whole fight and if you had to chose who you would have wanted to be in the fight I would have def selected Canelo. I honestly can not think of one shot Trout threw that somewhat hurt Canelo but there were many shots Canelo landed uppercuts and right hands that Canelo landed that hurt Trout. I think the main aspects of Canelo win was the knockdown and the repeated right hands he landed throughout the fight. Close fight but I def think Canelo won.

                maybe a KD
                maybe the ring generalshio
                maybe the clean punching
                maybe the harder punches
                maybe the better defense
maybe the better ebb and flow
maybe the fact is just was better then trout on this night, even trout admitted it.

I never seen people cry about a fight where the person who lost admits defeats and still the groupies dont beleive it.

What makes you think he didnt lose when Austin Trout himself admits he lost?

After I seen the scores after round 4....I knew Trout needed a knockout.

Canelo threw like 420 something punches, Trout threw like 700 something, he was pretty close to twice and active.

There was one knockdown, and that was really the only round Canelo had Trout hurt, and even then.....Trout out worked and did the better work the rest of the round.

You can't win a round fighting hard for 30-45 seconds, when your opponent is throwing 20-30 more punches in the round, when you only land a couple good shots. Unless those shots really change the round, like the 7th.
