Honestly, I thought that the Showtime commentators had a total hard-on for Trout. I didn't think that was a close fight and I thought the judge's scorecards were totally appropriate.

Malignaggi is a pretty decent broadcaster, but the problem tonight was that Trout fights the almost exact same style as him: slick boxer, large volume of flicking up jabs, not too much power, so Malignaggi was totally biased towards Trout and the rest of the broadcast team took his lead and followed suite.

Malignaggi seems to be the leader on that broadcast team and the other two kinda go along with his opinions, much like with Kellerman on the HBO team.

Oh and I don't know that the hell their "Sho Stats" are, because there was no way Trout was landing at that percentage.

I respect Trout and have become a fan of his. I personally scored the fight a draw...but Trout is humble in defeat.

The first step to improvement is accountability and being honest with yourself, Trout should be better for it with this attitude.

Plus it is not like he performed poorly, he just came up a bit short.

I mean, I give Canelo a lot of crap too but my gripe was that he wasn't fighting anyone of significance at 154. Now he has done that and won so why should I continue to give him crap? Now I just look forward to how he will perform from here on out. Boxing fans need to take their emotions for their favorite fighters out of the equation and just be fans and spectators. Trout said he lost, then he lost. He seems like a stand up guy so he would be true to himself. If he isn't down for the yelling robbery cause then why should his fans?
