Canelo is quite mature for his age.
Now I see him fighting Martinez next -- FM Jr. would want no piece of Alvarez in the future. Floyd moved back down at the right moment.

Good he's being classy but it's the honest truth. Canelo outboxed Trout, made him look silly and confused at times.

I had Trout winning but the open scoring made the scorecards a mute point. Canelo was miles ahead going into the last few rounds so could give away the last round. So no problem with the decision. Didn't think Canelo looked like a star though. Expected more.

How can you win a fight taking off 80% of every round, landing 2-3 good punches that are eye catching, getting out thrown and out worked by over 300 punches, getting out landed almost every round, and not controlling the pace of any of the rounds???

Canelo was not getting out landed,he was slipping Trouts pitty pat jabs, while landing the harder more crisp shots.This isn't the Olympics,and professional boxing is not scored that way. You're the one that's delusional.

Seems like this is the new trend in boxing..when the guy you want to win doesn't its a conspiracy, a coverup, etc. Listen I disagree with the scorecards they were way too wide but the right man won. At this point i'm starting to feel like Canelo could K.O. Floyd, Martinez, etc and folks would still find a reason to deny him his credit. (I'm not saying he can or will i'm speaking hypothetically before ya'll get all emotional) Half the arguments people made prior to the fight about why Trout would win were disproven. The fact is Trout and his trainers grossly understimated the kids skills like so many others on here...why because he's not shown them before..hell I was surprised as hell at some points. Also Alvarez is 22 not really even in his prime yet, i've never ever ever seen a fighter his age come under the same amount of scrutiny. Hell Broner has fought a bunch of smaller men but he gets nowhere near the level of hate this kid gets.
