Those who said these didn't understand boxing much.
Canelo is quite mature for his age.
Now I see him fighting Martinez next -- FM Jr. would want no piece of Alvarez in the future. Floyd moved back down at the right moment.

        Trout looked quite uni-dimensional.

Agree. But from here to 119-109 it's a long way.

How can you win a fight taking off 80% of every round, landing 2-3 good punches that are eye catching, getting out thrown and out worked by over 300 punches, getting out landed almost every round, and not controlling the pace of any of the rounds???
Canelo was not getting out landed,he was slipping Trouts pitty pat jabs, while landing the harder more crisp shots. This isn't the Olympics, and professional boxing is not scored that way. You're the one that's delusional.

At this point i'm starting to feel like Canelo could K.O. Floyd, Martinez, etc and folks would still find a reason to deny him his credit. (I'm not saying he can or will i'm speaking hypothetically before ya'll get all emotional) Half the arguments people made prior to the fight about why Trout would win were disproven. Trout counted on certain things to win this fight for him and he was doing them for the first couple of rounds but didn't expect Canelo to be capable of countering the way he started to or even be able to make him expend a ton of energy punching air. The fact is Trout and his trainers grossly understimated the kids skills like so many others on here...why because he's not shown them before..hell I was surprised as hell at some points. Also Alvarez is 22 not really even in his prime yet, i've never ever ever seen a fighter his age come under the same amount of scrutiny. Hell Broner has fought a bunch of smaller men but he gets nowhere near the level of hate this kid gets.
Great post we live in a unique era DAYUMM people are Arrogant and delusional nowadays, and just sore -ass hater bigoted losers!same thing happens in politics, their guy loses and its a conspiracy its everybody else fault and doing, Never can they wrap their head around the fact that the'yre perhaps wrong???
PROPS to Trout for being HUMBLE AND FULL OF CLASS unlike his Old lady,(whom is extremely hot) whom said Prior to the fight that Canelo has had it easy all the way to the top, yeah right, and countless people in Soceity nowadays he took his defeat like a man and hope he does well in the future I kow he will he is a very good fighter and came up a little short.
Funny thing is all the Canelo haters make themselves look soo ****** by being soo convinced and certain Trout was gonna win and then when that Clearley DIDNT happen its the judges,Texas,Mexicos faults blah blah blah...
It can Never be that this Kid turned out to be the BETTER FIGHTER,and he is, Jealosy becaue he 22 unified champ and hatred because hes from MEXICO, while Broner fights Bum after bUm and gets praised as the next big thing..Dream on haters!

Trout himself says he lost and people want to argue that the dude that was taking the punches is wrong?

Canelo beat Trout at his own game, what can you say.
