Whats up with all this Floyd fan stuff. Im a Floyd fan and a Canelo fan. I love fighters with boxing skills, and guys that work on their craft to become complete fighters. I think Canelo gets alot of hate because of all the fans that he has. When your on top people want to see you fall instead of having respect for you. Canelo is no Chavez Jr. this is boxing young fighters need to take it slow. Just because the stands are packed while Canelo is going through his progression dosent mean you gotta hate on him appreciate a young fighter working to become the best right before our eyes.

For real, leave all that hate at the door step.

**** No Doubt....this dude did nothing last night. He must be real naive to think that he would've won a decision, and he didn't even do enough to state his claim. I knew that all of his "unsure" talk leading up to the fight in the past 2 weeks, let's you know that he wasn't gonna do much.

Trout didn't make any excuses so neither should the rest of you. Canelo beat a top 154LB'er convincingly so give the man his due and proper. Hope he continues fighting the top guys at 154.

Long time no see Grustler! Sad how Trouts own fans are trying to justify a performance which did nothing to enhance his claim as the top dog in the 154 division. Canelo showed improvements and established himself a future star of the sport.
I had Trout down by two points, but it was clear who was comfortable, moderating the pace and adjusting. Trout did nothing to change up his gameplan, I like the dude but his ugly style of fighting will win him another strap someday...he's a good champion Troutbro's, chill out. Acceptance is the first stage of grief.

Props to trout he fought a good fight I thought it was a lot closer though I'm sure they'll meet up again although there are some exciting fights to make at 154 with Kirkland or angulo but wow great fight last night.

He should definitely give himself more credit some how I think they're goin to fight again not sure if trout should've got the win though he fought a good fight did all he could do but them judges were way off it was definitely a lot closer.

The open scoring did affect the way the last rounds were fought. Canelo got to sit back a bit and throw his heavy counter shots. At the end of the day I had Canelo winning a one point decision but the fact of the matter is the judges scores in Texas were too wide. 118 for Canelo is a joke. Nevertheless Canelo showed he is a legit fighter by knocking off one hell of a fighter in Austin Trout. Canelo has entered the league of elite fighters displaying a wide range of skills and the ability to adjust. This kid is going to be a superstar. This was not a case of him biting off more than he could chew like JCJr did with Martinez. He took a significant step up in competition here and triumphed. Trout fought an extremely competitive fight and his stock rises here as well. These are both 2 absolutely top notch fighters that will not be going anywhere anytime soon. I see both having bright futures.
