I gotta admit I was disappointed in Canelo. Don't get me wrong he won the fight easy, but he nearly lost the fight easy too.
On my score cards I had 6 rounds to 6 but the KD gave Canelo the win.
All honesty even though Trout missed most of the night, there were some rounds canelo straight gave away to him. No matter how much you miss if you are the only one throwing punches... you win the round.
That whole winning the round without throwing a punch is some Pernell Whitaker legend bull****.

Even Trout admitted he lost. Some of his fans are still bitter though.

I wanted Trout to win as i'm not a huge fan of Alvarez and i liked what Trout did to Cotto in his last fight. However, i can't really remember any meaningful punches from Trout against Alvarez it was all jabs with no substance. Canelo, whilst looking fairly average, landed the harder punches and he deserved the win.

Trout outpunched and outlanded him over the 12th rounds and yet according to the corrupt so-called judges he was being so dominated that he had no chance to win the fight on a decision by the end of the 8th round! -- this is the kind of thing that's ruining boxing -- maybe Alvarez won by a couple of points and maybe he didn't but by any standard it wasn't the kind of dominating performance that these 3 idiot judges had it

Canelo is a hype job, folks were making him out to be some kind of beast, like he was the next Manny Pac like star
Trouts unmarked face told all the story, when boxers get in the rong with Manny they leave looking like they have been hit with a baseball bat
Canelo made many mistakes and I question his work rate and stamina, he's open to big punches, would like to see a rematch with Trout, where he actually dominates, which he didn't do last night. The guy has a long way to go yet and I think many boxers will now fancy their chances against him
The beast myth has gone, he looked average in there
