Any rational boxing fan can accept the result of the fight. The one judge who had it 118 was out of his mind. It was a close fight. While Trout was more active, dictated the pace and out-jabbed he was not the most effective fighter. Canelo landed the harder, cleaner punches. He landed twice as many power punches, was just as defensively sound and scored the kd which most would give a 10-8 round for.

I didn't score round 7 a 10-8, I scored it a 10-9 for Canelo. Seeing as the knockdown occurred very early in the round, for the rest of that round Trout recovered and dominated. A knockdown does not constitute an automatic 10-8 scoring, a common misconception. I gave them 6 rounds a piece.

Wtf did he dominate he barley landed sh¡t in rnd 7. A few BS jabs & missed power punches makes it 10-9 gtfo here

114:113 for Trout. It was the type of fight when u know who is better boxer (Canelo) afterwards, but because of his approach and style in this particular fight, victory was up for grabs... Stanley Christodoulou wasn't sober.

I find it really laughable how all these "expert" Judges posting here do such a great job scoring this fight in favor of Trout from their Momma's basement.
Not an easy fight to score by any means but a clear win for Canelo done by the Judges who sit RINGSIDE.

Canelo's defense was great, he landed the harder shots, and really I thought Trout missed alot more jabs than Canelo did. But holy moly, that was a wicked knockdown.
