He won a tough fight vs. Rios in their rematch.

Four exciting fights by an average fighter.
Pacquiao picking on another junior welterweight. Let me guess, this one will be at welterweight too.
Yup. It better not be PPV.

        Awesome bout,

I guess this is going to reveal whether Pacquiao punch resistance has changed dramatically or is still the same. I wonder if Alvarado can test that.

And if Alvarado beats Miss Pacman, Alvarado vs Rios III which most likely will be in Denver is immediately a PPV fight. However if the terms of Alvarado vs Pacquiao do not include Denver, this fight should not happen. In a place without high altitude, Pacquiao destroys Alvarado.
You think Mike Alvarado is the Denver Nuggets?

Your post doesn't change thew fact this is the 3rd or 4th jww moving up manny has fought. Including mike I believe his last 3 fights have been against men with 1 win at ww. That win being tim over casamayor.

I can definitely see Mike making the most of this! JMM might not have had anything to prove in his mind, but seems like there is plenty of extra $$$ to make in possible sponsorships, commercials, etc. if the fight really happens in China. Oh well, hope we get Tim/Marquez now.

The thing about Alvarado's ability to move/box was partly amplified because of Rios lack of footspeed. Mike could stay on his backfoot and pump his jab to keep Rios at bay at times but even then, Bam Bam still got up on him and they fought it out.

JMM can fight off his back foot against Manny because he knows him and is a master - he can stand there and try to get Pac to run into right hands in the midst of a war. Tim could move on him because he has the threat of the inside game.

It's a question of whether Pac's legs will be fast enough to pressure Mike and chase him around like Mosley, Cotto, Clottey....and I'd expect that Mike probably be willing to battle for longer than those 3 did so he will give himself plenty of chances. It's possible he could get the KO but IDK about the decision if he is really forced to move to avoid getting KOed himself. It won't be slower pressure of Rios on him

Pacquiao would batter Alvarado in the same manner as he did to David Diaz. That is, unless he has completely fallen off the wagon, which is a small possibility.

Meh fight to me. Pac KO8. It will be billed as a tough comeback fight but will amount to no more than a tune-up when all is said and done (IF it happens).

at what weight will this be ?alvarado is should have a good advantage as far as length and size goes. he also is a guy who hits hard sounds like a great fight i see manny cutting him up and winning but i think it'll be def some scary moments for manny fans.
