Do some fighters willingly fight on the inside? Or is it only because they have to?

      If you aren't saying that, then what is that?

            So, you're saying that Floyd has an inside game like Castillo? Even though he lost to Castillo in their first fight, and had to box him in the 2nd fight.

            Durp!

                  The way I read it you say that if a boxer is skillful enough to keep a fight on the outside then he will, so no boxer has ever fought on the inside unless they have to. Problem is there are plenty of examples of boxers who are skillful enough to keep a fight on the outside choosing to fight inside.

                  Sweat Pea does it, Toney does it, Mayweather does it... the list would be longer im sure if i knew my boxing history.

                    You fight the way your talent and skills allow you to! A boxer can be forced to fight inside and if he's not able to adapt he'll be in trouble without inside knowledge. As to Bernard he fights very little on the "outside also"! HA! If your a realitively slow footed fellow with limited reach and height but have the desire to box you'll need a trainer who has inside abilities so that your prepared to off set a tall fellow with more reach than yourself. Their are alot more trainers who have outside knowledge as opposed to inside fighting these days! Its become a lost art form currently. Ray.

                      Oh yeah, I bet that was it

                      I bet that was it when you were saying;

                      "Rigondeaux's inside game it when he outboxes his opponents"

                      And

                      "What Mayweather did against Chavez is what Rigondeaux does when he boxes on the outside"
