Roy Jones beaten 2 ATG's in Hopkins and Toney.

While Mayweather beaten a big of a name as those 2, he has beaten a host of good/very good opponents as mentioned.

People had been calling Jones a fraud even before his KO loss, and I'm sure Mayweather has his doubters as he hasn't faced top notch opponent for quite some time. I think Mayweather will about on par with Jones if he was to get knocked out tomorrow. But the guy still has time on his side to see how truly great he really is.

I think Mayweather is much better than Roy already and when he loses 20 years from now, I won't badmouth him at all.

I really don't see why you'd even worry about this, or be asking for the opinions of those who regard Jones as a fraud or being exposed.

Anyone who thinks that way is so biased and ignorant they're not worth talking to, so why would you go one step further and ask what they think?

If Floyd lost tomorow, I'd expect him to suck it up, rematch who he loses to and or go on to win many more fights.

Great fighters lose fights. It happens.

I agree with you, maybe the thread was a bad idea. I just want this on register, so if Mayweather loses and people start saying he was never great...I will remember this thread.

I agree with what you say, except...

when Roy was on top, he still had his nay sayers and critics. These are the ****** people in my opinion. Can't do much about them.

I, myself, am disappointed in Jones by his showing against Tarver in the third fight. He just didn't have it in him to try to win. This was his FIRST test of adversity in his career and he failed miserably.

Mosley chugged on to a decision loss after the first Forrest fight. Mosley had heart.

Can't really say that about Jones. It was clear to me Jones thought he could get a decision against Tarver if it went 12 rounds. He just forgot that it's not that simple AND that he had to try to win (also his name isn't DeLaHoya either )...
