    And Down Goes Mayweather...

Now don't get me wrong, I don't want to see Floyd lose, as he is one of my favorite prize fighters. But my question is, if Floyd got KOed tommorow, would you take away his whole career liked you did Roy Jones Jr.? Roy was being talked about like a god before he lost to Antonio Tarver, but when he lost, people called him a fraud. Before you guys answer no, really think about this question. I have weird su****ion that this is how it works with 90% of boxing fans. No matter who you are, or what you have done, YOUR ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR LAST FIGHT. What do you think your reaction would be? Be honest...

Mayweather is still young, don't forget that. If he does not accomplish anything more from this point forward, I don't think people will remember him as a legend. He has won some good fights, but he has yet to make his immortal statement. Hatton could be that fight. Too bad his 3 fight american tour does not mention Mayweather

Floyds already beaten better people who were in their primes than Jones. Corrales, Chavez, Castillo were all considered good and in the top of divisions when Floyd beat them.

Jones notable wins were against fighters you could say hadn't 'peaked' when he fought them. Not Jones' fault. It IS partially Jones' fault when the fights were NOT made years later when Hopkins and Toney were 'better.' Now Jones is interested in fighting a 40 year old fighter that last back to back fights when he lost three in a row?

Saying that, I know that if Floyd was to get knocked out people would turn against him.

However, comparing Floyd to Jones isn't right either.
But when the fights could be made later when Hopkins and Toney were better, they weren't made.

People are questioning his record as it stands already. People vow to take him out of their top 10 P4P if he doesnt fight an elite this year...

If he got Knocked out or lost otherwise, it would only strengthen people's su****ions about him...

Beating castillo and corrales is nice, but if he beats hatton and a couple of others at this weight range, his greatness will survive any loss late in his career.

People are fickle. Expect it. Floyd is made to seem perfect and when it's proven that he's not perfect, nay sayers will try to tear him down. But, Floyd won't lose anytime soon. And when he does he will be EXTREMELY old. (yes, when)

I agree Floyd is just to good and young now. Did you hear his training schedule? Its insane, he spars like 15 minutes rounds with different sparring parteners coming in.

No. Floyd Mayweather has already had a great career. He has beat everyone and has made people like Gatti and Corrales look like nothing. Only morons will discredit mayweather when he finnally loses
